Nah, with the win streak Anderson is on after tonight, she’s safely the Crowns second nomination. Hell she may even be ahead of Corrin (thank God Corrin went lead at the Emmys)

With Kate Winslet the drama individual achievement category is now becoming more and more competitive for the nomination.

Although I have a weird feeling that Michaela Coel and Jason Sudeikis are winning here. TCA do love their auteurs after all.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

I think Small Axe and The Underground Railroads are the likeliest shows to be pushed by critics, so, yeah, the former for Individual Achievement in Drama and the latter for Program of The Year. Yes, critics love an award sweep recently, but The Queen’s Gambit‘s sweep seems unlikely somehow because it’s not the most acclaimed actually and Anya Taylor-Joy’s performance will stand no chance against John Boyega’s performance.

Lol I feel like most of this forum really needs a reminder of how acclaimed Anya performance was by critics.

Throwing this out I don’t think it’s implausible but what if Olsen (or Hahn) end up nominated for Individual Comedy instead of Drama?

I was actually thinking about exactly that when making my predictions! Both categories honestly make sense. Can Disney choose where they’re submitted, or does the association make the decision? Is there a ballot/announcement, or do we just have to guess until nominations are released?

I think the latter. I wonder where Hollywood would have landed last year if it actually had acclaim (or was good).

Anya Taylor-Joy’s performance will stand no chance against John Boyega’s performance.

John Boyega is not winning. I don’t think he has a strong enough narrative to pull through over the Program of the Year winner.

Unless The Underground Railroad surprises this is going to Michaela or Anya and I think it will be between their shows in the other two categories as well.

Taylor-Joy could pull off a win here like Rachel Brosnahan did but at the moment I’m currently betting on Coel winning because of how auteur driven TCA tends to be with its choices (Waller-Bridge, Glover, Bloom, Schumer).

    Carrie Coon over Lizzie Moss?

Carrie Coon had two acclaimed performances in the two most acclaimed shows of the decade
