The series is good, not great, but I have to admit that I am surprised by Jason Sudeikis, who is doing a great job in the dramatic scenes. I would be happy if he is remembered at the awards, but I imagine it is unlikely.

“What’s a wanker?”
“*does wanking hand signature*”
“I’m more for a visual learner so that was really helpful, thank you”“Lion or Panda? What would you rather be”
“I’m already me, why would I want to be anything”
“You don’t know how psychology healthy that it”“Shouldn’t you take your sweater off before going to shower”
“I could moonwalk instead, despite the less than favourable headlines it’s still a fun little dance to do”

I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing that.

October 13, 2020 at 4:33 am #1203775257I’ve seen half of this show. It’s funny and entertaining and I love it. Ted Lasso (the lead character) is so captivating and charismatic, you just can’t help it but be drawn to and have deep love for him. He is a lovely man who seems so pure inside out. Just like that journalist said on episode 3 , you can’t help but root for him.
And I am rooting for Jason Sudeikis at the Golden Globes.

ReplyCopy URLOctober 14, 2020 at 4:48 am #1203777246Done with this. What a beautiful show, so heartwarming. I didn’t expect it to be such a roller-coaster of emotions. It’s consistency is remarkable, not a single episode was a dud or filler. Ted Lasso, again, is a wonderful guy. We surely could do with more people like him in this horrible world.
Jason Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham are award-worthy. I hope this show surprisingly wins Comedy Series at the Golden Globes.

Is Hannah even in predictions center? She’s an absolute revelation.
Sudekis has that Globe nearly locked up at this point. Only confident in him & Ramy getting in and nobody has won twice since Baldwin. Wouldn’t also be surprised if he wins at SAG too due to a vote spilt between the Levy family & Ramy/Ali.
Waddingham in supporting would be an absolute fraud move but she’d only be competing with (idk, I guess) 3-5 SNL women & Laurie Metcalf and since Apple’s already renewed the show for 2 more seasons, I’m guessing their awards strategist / publicists are hoping for an Allison Janney type run.
