Was Small Axe eligible in the four main guilds (PGA, DGA, WGA and SAG)? I just realized that it was ignored in all of them.

It was only ineligible for WGA.

So What the Constitution Means to Me and American Utopia are considered as specials but Hamilton is a television movie for DGA?

What is so astonishing is that all of its guilds nominations are a year after it has aired for a season that did terrible with the Emmys.

And this was one of the best seasons (if not best) and aired in a prime spring slot for Emmys.

Emmys FYC | Alan Tudyk in “Resident Alien” | Billie Piper in “I Hate Suzie” | Ego Nwodim in “Saturday Night Live” | Kaley Cuoco in “Harley Quinn” | “Dickinson” | “P-Valley” | “Pose” | “Superstore”

    Bridgerton is an American show.

    It’s a British director though

    EMMY FYC

The Crown in all categories (inc. Olivia Colman & Gillian Anderson)

I May Destroy You, It’s a Sin, Stateless & The Queens Gambit

Kate Winslet, Keeley Hawes, Shaun Parkes, Marielle Heller, Michaela Coel

Ted Lasso & The Flight Attendant in all categories.

But that’s not the bias they have since they do nominate a lot of British directors. It’s against British shows overall.

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

It was elegible, but I guess the British/International bias hurted it.

This is so stupid. When did Thomas Kail direct Hamilton for television? It’s one thing for the Globes or Critic’s Choice to fall for this stupidity, but the guilds? Actual professionals in these fields agreed to this?

Will there be ceremonies in person? They won’t even get to meet Kail, Miranda or the rest of the cast. Why do you need to vote for this?

Also how is it any different than what Marielle Heller and Spike Lee did?

They must have been en-chaaant-ed by Moira Rose’s posh vo-h-cab-u-laii-ryy.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

After occupying four of the five slots in PGA and all slots in DGA in the drama category last year, HBO is completely blanked this year.

International Bias. I wrote British/International, the International part was clearly directed to Schitt’s Creek.

Bridgerton surprised me, but the drama category is decent. Not exactly sure who got snubbed. Comedy, on the other hand, is underwhelming, at best. I’d say it’s the weak competition, yet I still don’t get how those three shows got in. I used to have faith in the guilds, but this is disappointing.
