I Hate Suzie, I May Destroy You, Small Axe and a lot of the British shows in contention were ineligible.

All of IMDY, Small Axe, Normal People etc were eligible and all of them were on the ballot except IHS, which probably wasn’t submitted. IMDY competed in single camera half hour instead of the limited category though for some reason.

Those Bridgerton and Ratched snubs are bad when you see them losing a spot to a no1curr show like Westworld. I don’t know if it was a big factor but The Great had two submissions on the ballot and that could be a potential reason for the snub maybe, though I don’t really think it should/would have mattered.

How are those 2019 songs eligible?

Eligibility for TV was from Sept 1, 2019 to August 31, 2020.

Ah my bad. I mistakenly thought they had to be produced under an agreement with the guild (like at WGA) to be eligible. Thanks for the correction.

I agree about the Bridgerton/Ratched snubs. I guess one could argue that the visibility for the former wasn’t as great as it is now but there should have been no reason for Ratched to miss. Especially considering how flashy and acclaimed its visuals and technicals were.

I May Destroy You missing out again to Emily in Paris? God help us all lol. Although it’s good that it was submitted in half hour because that means that we can’t rule it out completely from getting into Production Design at the Emmys then. I think it might win the equivalent BAFTA category.

FYC Emmys: "The Crown" in all categories, "I May Destroy You" in all categories, "It's a Sin" in all categories, "Small Axe" in all categories, Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie"), Yvonne Strahovski ("Stateless") and Ruth Wilson ("His Dark Materials")

    • “Hard Knocks: Los Angeles” (HBO)
    • “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel” (S26) (HBO)
    • “Seeing America with Megan Rapinoe” (HBO)
    • “The Shop: Uninterrupted Featuring President Barack Obama” (HBO)

    Outstanding Children’s Program
    • “Animaniacs” (S1) (Hulu)
    • “Carmen Sandiego” (S3) (Netflix)
    • “Looney Tunes Cartoons” (S1) (HBO Max)
    • “The Power of We: A Sesame Street Special” (HBO Max)

    • “Inside Pixar: Inspired” (S1) (Disney Plus)
    • “SNL Presents: Stories from the Show” (S1) (NBC)

R.I.P. Quibi. Either their shows were shut out because nobody watched or because nobody submitted them, which would make sense, seeing as Quibi does not exist anymore.

Shame that Raven’s Home was snubbed for Children’s Program. Much better written than many other adult comedy shows.

I just realized that WandaVision is eligible for this year’s DGA awards, will it get nominated? Voting ends tomorrow.

    I did not know that!

Maybe? It is the talk of the town at the moment and it is from an Emmy nominated director although I guess they can cover Matt Shakman by nominating him for The Great.

Another snub for what should have been an easy nomination for The Undoing.

The Flight Attendant: SAG, WGA, MPSE, ADG, SCL The Great: SAG, WGA, CSA Ted Lasso: SAG, WGA

Is this up to date? Because Ted Lasso is looking weak compared to The Great and especially The Flight Attendant.

Lasso was ineligible for the Casting Society of America and I think Society of Composers and Lyricists too.

The Flight Attendant competed in 1 hour ADG.

Is this up to date? Because Ted Lasso is looking weak compared to The Great and especially The Flight Attendant.

Ted Lasso has nominations from both the sound guilds (MPSE and CAS) as well. The Flight Attendant is doing good so far but it still missed the top WGA series category so the former is still ahead.

The Great, otoh, is not doing well below the line at all. I understand competition will be tougher in one hour but it’s a showy period piece so there’s no excuse for it to lose noms to something like Ratched or Perry Mason or miss categories with 8 spots for example.

Ted Lasso and TFA weren’t eligible at CSA as it follows Emmy eligibility. All three were eligible with SCL though.

A show that has been secretly killing it is Dead To Me: (SAG, WGA, MUAHS, ADG, CAS, MPSE, CSA) so watch out for it at PGA. WWDITS is looking like another Russian Doll atm.

PS: There are some random omissions in that list @gabspss (like the sound guilds for both DTM and Ted Lasso) so you might wanna recheck it.

Shame that Raven’s Home was snubbed for Children’s Program. Much better written than many other adult comedy shows.

A number of the Disney-Nick sitcoms have a lot more interesting writing material (and have aged incredibly well) than the majority of adult oriented shows.
