Discuss/predict the Miniseries/TV Movies you have seen in this thread.October 7, 2012 at 4:14 pm #262791
Split this into separate threads for comedy/drama/miniseries/variety/etc. Otherwise it gets too long too quickly.October 7, 2012 at 9:18 pm #262792

There is going to be six nominees in each category.October 8, 2012 at 2:23 am #262794
Solid predictions, A Person, but yes, there are six nominees now. I would also add that other HBO film with Brenda Blethyn and Hilary Swank to my predictions, even though the double Oscar-winner was actually not nominated for Iron Jawed Angels.October 8, 2012 at 2:37 am #262795
Do you guys think Political Animals has a shot in the Series race?
And does American Horror Story compete here or in the Drama Series category (maybe due to the acting category merges)?October 8, 2012 at 6:46 am #262796
Political Animals is only going to get Sigourney Weaver. It got only OK reviews, had poor ratings and aired almost a year away from the nominations.
I totally forgot about the six nominations yesterday. I would add Luther, Kenneth Branagh and Brenda Blethyn.

We should probably just move back to that thread.March 5, 2013 at 1:23 pm #262801
Jessica Lange will win this for American Horror Story: Asylum. Well, maybe not, but here’s hoping!March 5, 2013 at 1:49 pm #262802
Will The Bible be this year’s The Kennedys? Despite mixed to negative reviews, the show is a huge hit with 13.1 million viewers tuning to the premiere. It could get a miniseries/movie nod and plenty of tech categories.March 6, 2013 at 12:36 pm #262803
If they enter her in supporting mini-series/movie actress category (which they should if you ask me), Lily Rabe in American Horror Story: Asylum could easily win it in my opinion.
She has a lot of screen time, more than most in the lead category, but since she doesn’t appear in like the last 3 episodes of the series they could get away with it. And she’s got the perfect character; she gets to be meek, repressed and submissive for the first few episodes. Then after the possesion she evolves into this massive larger than life, snarky, ruthless, bitchy, calculating, cold and sexual being! It’s the perfect role to win this category, Does anyone think she’ll have much competition?
