YESSSSS. I can’t wait either, Im a huge champion for the first season – thought it was a masterpiece!!!
But while the short trailer was great, I am still nervious for he show.
Over the last couple cycles, The Americans was my favorite new show, then I hated the second season.
Same goes for Masters of Sex, adored the first season, second was ok, not great not horrible.September 25, 2015 at 2:40 pm #349526
Showtime has released the season 2 premiere on several platforms. I know you can watch it if you get your showtime subrscription through Hulu and there is a TV-14 version on The Affair’s Youtube page.

Yay! I was expecting this on Sunday but happy it’s out now!September 25, 2015 at 7:31 pm #349528
What a gripping opening episode. I loved that episode more than any other Drama episode this year. The Globes had better brains choosing The Affair for Best Drama than the Emmys snubbing itSeptember 26, 2015 at 5:45 pm #349529
Good opening episode, too bad there was no Lockhart family.September 26, 2015 at 7:48 pm #349530
West and Tierney were great in this episode. Hopefully it can break into the Emmys this year.

Loved the premier. Tierny was great. The divorce proceedings will obviously be the main focus of this season. Yet i still get the feeling there is a complete disconnect between “The Affair” drama side of the series, and the pointless murder investigation that keeps on hammering on. It feels copy and paste like. Comes and goes. No one is invested in that investigation. We have hit Season 2, and by now nobody cares. It’s like an after thought. And that’s probably why it is not connecting with people. Like, either incorporate it fully into the series, or just let it go. It just doesn’t make sense. If someone were to summarise the whole series, it would be: “A great drama about betrayal, affairs…..and some hit and run investigation that for the life of me i don’t know where it fits into things. Is it a catalyst? Repercussion? What?” It is not moving along, progressing. It feels like a complete different crime series trying to take hold on a family drama.September 27, 2015 at 3:13 pm #349532
Between West telling his youngest son of the divorce and Tierney’s scenes through out (so welcome, given that she was underused last season) The Affair is exploiting its highest assets of all – it’s acting talent. Not a bad episode but, again to echo thoughts of others, just too much on this murder case which isn’t all that interesting. It looks to me like the show is now comprised of (and I’m glad to see so) 4 leads. In which case I think Showtime ought to be balsy and throw them all in supporting now, avoid the bloodbaths of globes drama lead actress (where Ruth could be booted – in which case Dominic is too) and next year at the Emmys, where Homeland and Masters of Sex have a track record in lead (as will Billions).September 29, 2015 at 1:43 pm #349533
Weird that they released it on YouTube. Why is Showtime doing this? Confusing.September 29, 2015 at 1:59 pm #349534
So people watch it, want to keep watching, and so they subscribe to Showtime.
