I am very excited for the next season. The past season was one of my favorite series on television. Also, looks like Michael C. Hall will only be in one episode of the season so hopefully he can finally get an Emmy if the performance has some depth to it and not just stunt casting. Also will premiere on December 8th.August 10, 2017 at 6:17 am #1202181050
This looks stunning, I don’t see this being dropped next year at the Emmys. The problem is that it may be left out by even more guilds this year with this late release date.August 10, 2017 at 6:26 am #1202181054
Also, I motherfucking hope that Kirby is nominated this year, with the Snowdon storyline, it should be within reach, maybe even for Goode. Hall could make a good nominee in guest, as well as Jodi Balfour who plays Jackie O. I saw a glimpse of Anton Lesser who is a master (best work was in Wolf Hall and Game of Thrones as Qyburn) so a nomination could be plausible for him. This will definitely give GoT a run for it’s money in the technical categories, especially costume design which looks breathtaking. But again, the guilds and the Globes might not be able to see it in time.August 10, 2017 at 6:41 am #1202181061
DECEMBER 8TH! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WAIT THAT LONG?
(Side note: Will be interested to see if the Critics, Globes and SAG nominate it now as they obvs won’t have seen it)

The PGAs (where it failed to get nominated because of lack of viewership from the guild presumably) are taking place next year on January 20, with nominations opening December 5, three days before season 2.
The DGAs (whom also snubbed it) are taking place February 5, with nominations opening December 11, three days after season 2.
The SAGs (who gave it three nominations and two wins) are taking place on January 21, with nominations closing December 10, two days after Season 2.
The WGAs (another snubber) have set their eligibility period from December 2016 to November 2017, meaning that The Crown will miss out by eight days.
Overall, this is not good for The Crown, they will have to rely on the snubs of the first season to drag them to a nomination.August 10, 2017 at 7:12 am #1202181068

Yeah I feel like they will still get PGA and SAG just based upon the first season but DGA in particular could be a real problem.

Very excited for season two – great trailer!
I am a bit perplexed at the timing. I really wish that Netflix would swap this and HOC so The Crown could have more of any Emmy friendly spot.August 10, 2017 at 8:41 am #1202181119
So excited!! The teaser was great, it looks like it’s going to be stellar just like the first season. I’m glad we also got to see a peek of Michael C. Hall as JFK.August 10, 2017 at 9:03 am #1202181142
I am excited for Vanessa Kirby to get some more screen time she was amazing.
