I thought For was good in season 1 but she was only my #10. Is she better/ does she have meatier material in season 2?

    I haven’t seen S2 Moss yet I am Foy > Moss 2018.

That said, Foy’s performance wasn’t that much different from season 1. It wasn’t better or worse. It was the same. Restrained is the best I can describe her acting. She is the queen of subtle. Her emotions boil beneath the surface. Her restrain in every single scene she’s in is a masterpiece. But as spectacular as she is at it, it is repetitive because that is 90% of her performance.

The reason I was Moss > Foy last year was because I felt that Moss did the tightly controlled emotions just as well. But she, unlike Foy, did more than that. She had material that allowed her to show more range. Her performance wasn’t limited to one method, whereas Foy, as good as she is, was. Still is.

Regardless of what Moss does, I am sticking with Foy because I do think she should earn an Emmy for this role. Moss has hers.

Binge-watched the shit out of it. Already loved first season but this one surpasses it. And what can I say about Claire Foy that hasn’t already been said? She was utterly brilliant. No, earth-shattering brilliant. If she doesn’t win an Emmy next year I’m gonna be more than pissed. Moss can take those SAG and GG this year because Foy already has them but if she repeats next year at Emmys I’m gonna burn that bitch. Claire Foy in second season of The Crown >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Eisabeth Moss in first season of The Handmaid’s Tale. And I fucking loved Lizzie! That’s how motherfucking good Foy is this season.

Oh and someone gives nomination to Vanessa Kirby. She wipes the floor with last year’s line-up (sans Thandie Newton).

Just finished this…I enjoyed it a little bit less, though not for quality. I found myself caring less and a bit bored about halfway through. Foy should have won the Emmy for S1 and she should definitely be winning again. I love Vanessa Kirby and will be happy if she’s nominated but I don’t see how she wipes the floor with anything. Yeah she has her episode but she’s barely in the show overall, going up against people who have arcs covering the entire season and actually get to do stuff.

Binged this and thought it peaked in the middle, with Marionettes and the Duke of Windsor episode ie eps that climaxed with the show’s best asset, Claire Foy!

Really not here for Prince Phillip focused episodes, and there were so many, most of them dreary (Smith did the most he could)…would be a massive mistake if Peter Morgan did the same to Olivia Colman, who is imo the greatest talent of her generation and I can’t wait to see what she brings to this.

Also why doesn’t Matthew Goode have Benedict Cumberbatch’s career? He’s compelling and so nice to look at. Hope they don’t recast him.

Finally gotten around to watching the premiere. It was decent, I’m looking forward to it picking up. Like last season, the craftsmanship is spectacular. Foy was very good in the pilot.

I love HBC…..but in order to become HBC Vanessa Kirby must has had a very rough couple of decades.

This is amazing! I think she will get more attention than Colman will due to her name recognition.

I think I’ve died and gone to heaven.

(Also, for those wondering Princess Margaret really does have a rough couple of decades trust me)
