    Does our own Thatcher approve?

doesn’t matter. Gillian is already a better prime minister than he’ll ever be.

The dates are getting confusing but I think that article may have meant to say end of season 3 because this season covers events up to 1976. Season 4 covers right up to late 80s ie the whole of Thatcher’s time in power.

Oh freaking no. Margaret Thatcher. The queen was no fan of hers. Let’s watch THAT unfold.

Netflix released the screeners to more critics this week (to distract from other streaming events perhaps?) and the reactions trickling through the embargo are getting me hyped

Reviews are in. Absolute raves for Olivia (some of the headlines calling out her “genius”) and the new cast! Hope it’s enough for her to finally win her Emmy.

Wish they could just drop it this weekend I’m done waiting. But mostly relieved for the new cast as I like all of them individually and this re-casting could have been iffy.

    Dropping this from Indiewire’s review:

The final “Aberfan” scene from Colman will be taught in drama schools, I can guarantee it.

Americans (only critics so far) are already complaining about the mission on the Moon. I’ve read people finding problem with the particular episode not focusing on the Queen’s reaction to this American victory.

You get various episodes and you focus on this. I can’t.

    Same reaction from another reviewer:

Last but not least, Olivia Colman gonna win Emmys. There’s a moment at the end of one episode (you’ll know it when you watch it) which will leave you absolutely breathless and on the floor at how astonishing she is an actor.

Love to see people recognising (again) that Olivia belongs to that rarified tier of actors.

Space war has always about US vs Russia. Why would Queen even bother to react when her country has no relations with space.

    Dropping this from Indiewire’s review:

I can’t believe a professional critic wrote this. One-third of her review is whining about the flag. ‘This is a sin of omission, and one that almost derails the entire season’- Seriously? Why are American critics so abhorrently dumb sometimes?

This better not turn into another First Man scandal.
