Wow they are really going all in with the pre season promo. I feel like I’ve seen the whole season now!

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", GLENN CLOSE FOR "HILLBILLY ELEGY", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

The tea is that Thatcher is apparently given a sympathetic portrayal and that the wedding isn’t even shown.

I’m excited but I’m worried the season is going to come like the first season yet again after a dismal election result.

I have a hunch one of Anderson or Corrin will end up guest-eligible, I’m just not sure which yet. I suppose Carter could too, but with the way the show is structured, I doubt they’d let Margaret fall THAT far to the wayside.

Can I stop this right now?

OMG, please do — it is getting to the point of painful on here lately.

Honestly if the latter is the case the way my imminent disappointment is approaching…

I don’t see a problem with showing Thatcher’s personal life sympathetically but if they actually try to whitewash her politics…

Wasn’t the intro to the wedding shown in the teaser? We see Diana in her dress. I imagine it’ll be like Tony and Margaret’s wedding, they won’t show the ceremony but the lead up and the aftermath.

    rubbish

I’m sure the portrayal of Thatcher will be one that shows her as human while also making it clear why she’s a controversial figure.

Yeah no it’s not a bad thing for Gillian, just more of a problem for Emma if her closest competition in the show is given more range of material while a key emotional moment isn’t there for her. But yeah, they’ll probably show the dress and then what happens after. Gillian and her boyfriend really said no to Emma’s Emmy lmao.

I can’t believe i’m saying this but i’m excited for this season omg these pics and these teasers have me hyped up! Ms Anderson is coming to snatch I can feel it in my bones.

I haven’t even finished the third season. So boring. But I’ll try to!

It wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t show the wedding ceremony. Charles and Diana’s wedding was arguably *the* wedding of the 20th century. It’s well remembered and documented. I think this distinction makes it hard to reproduce for television. If they didn’t absolutely nail it, viewers would probably complain.

I also don’t see the point of showing the wedding ceremony when all the drama was likely behind the scenes. That’s the stuff some people are less familiar with, and is probably more interesting to watch.

I stopped at six (best episode i’d seen up to that point tbh) several months ago but became more interested in other shows instead.
