I agree!! Here’s hoping. I love both Colman and Carter.. but Foy and Kirby are still my favorite sisters as of yet.

I actually love Foy more than Colman and Carter more than Kirby (although I thought all four were excellent in their roles. I just think Colman hasn’t gotten great material yet).

Carter was amazing in the two episodes focused on her character but Kirby was sensational in Beryl. Might be my favorite performance in a single episode of the show thus far (Josh O’Connor is a close second for 306)

Veteran British TV actress Georgie Glen (Call the Midwife) will be playing Diana’s grandmother Lady Fermoy  and newcomer Jessica Acquilina will be playing Fergie.

The actress playing Fergie must be very new to tv/film acting, as I can’t find much of an IMDb profile for her. All I can find is a profile for “Jessie Aquilina” with two credits from 2013 and 2016. Not sure if it’s the same actress or not.

I did find a headshot of her via Google images, though, and visually, she looks like a good fit.

I doubt Fergie has a very big role. I mean one she’s kind of irrelevant even to even some of the most royalist people on the planet and two it seems very clear that this season will be focused more on the main characters from the previous season and Thatcher and Diana (with the latter two potentially having the biggest focus although no one can say that as a certainty really until we see the season) than Fergie.

Oh Fergie has an important symbolic role! She was the counterpoint to Di but they were treated the same by the BRF and the media. Only, one of then could handle it, and the other couldn’t. Fergie never stopped being herself though and had some vital perspective and humour within it; she never saw herself than more than what she was, the spare’s wife and baby maker. Markle wants to be a Di but she’s actually way more of a Fergie.

The Sun reported that Dominic West is set to play Prince Charles on season 5 and 6. Since Netflix hasn’t confirm it yet, we have to take this with a grain of salt.

Gillian Anderson rumour turned out to be true. So probably this is too.

These final couple of seasons will get the most GG nods this show has seen. Series, Actress, Actor, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress x2.

Hopefully an “Outstanding Drama Series” win at the Emmys eventually too

I am not a fan of the Dominic West casting choice, if it’s true.

I just want Imelda to get the Lead Actress Emmy.

    FYC:

Best Director - Lee Isaac Chung (Minari), Darius Marder (Sound of Metal)

Lead Actor - Delroy Lindo (Da 5 Bloods), Mads Mikkelsen (Another Round), Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal)

Supporting Actor - Paul Raci (Sound of Metal)

Supporting Actress - Youn Yuh-jung (Minari)

If it’s true that Dominic West casting is a weird choice.

My main problem with West is not because of the James scandal but because I just don’t see him playing Prince Charles well. Don’t get me wrong he’s a phenomenal actor and I think he should have Emmy wins for both The Affair and The Wire and a nomination for Burton and Taylor but I just don’t see it. To be fair with all the post Foy generation castings as well I didn’t really see Colman as the Queen not because of how she looks nothing like her but she doesn’t have that feel of her. I mean when they cast Anderson as Thatcher I thought it was perfect casting not because she looked anything like her but because she seems like the perfect transformative actor to play her (and we shall see if she delivers our expectations soon).

These final couple of seasons will get the most GG nods this show has seen. Series, Actress, Actor, Supporting Actor, Supporting Actress x2.

Potentially S. Actor x2 as well. They will have Tony Blair in the fifth and sixth seasons as well so I’m expecting they go big à la Anderson with the casting. My bet atm is David Tennant.

If Dominic West is indeed set to play Charles then this must be my least favourite casting choice so far. Nothing against him, he’s a very good actor, but I just don’t see him as Charles at all. Also, he’s way shorter than Elizabeth Debicki. Benedict Cumberbatch would be the perfect choice. He’s tall like Debicki and he also has that quirkiness recquired to play Charles. Like Josh O’Connor has.
