Loving all the “LA Law” nods this season, especially this week with (5 time!) Emmy nominee Jill Eikenberry making a cameo.

I love The Good Fight because they’re always taking a risk: the show is always so unpredictable.

I’ve enjoyed this episode, but I confess that I missed Mandy Patinkin. And in a perfect world Nyambi Nyambi would be nominated for an emmy after this!

Also, I think they should bring back Archie Panjabi, Matt Czuchry and Alan Cumming for an episode. I wouldn’t complain.

Nyambi Nyambi was terrific in this episode, and I love how they connected Jay’s Frederick Douglass hallucinations to his trauma of seeing his fellow patient and hospital friend die. I think that reveal elevated something that could’ve become very much a gimmick to something quite moving. The Kings have done a lot of medical racism episodes lately – the first season of Evil did two – and this was another good one, with great direction from Nikki M. James. The hospital sequences were harrowing.

I’m a little less enamored with the conclusion to Kurt’s insurrection troubles, but they really had no choice but to tie it up neatly if they wanted to keep Gary Cole around while also refraining from forever damaging the character, which would have been such a shame. I feel like it won’t just disappear after this, but even if it does, it’s a credit to the writing that there was a legitimate question as to whether Kurt was capable of being involved. Gary Cole’s steely performance was essential to pulling that off. I also really missed Mandy Patinkin this week, but having Wackner in such a serious episode might have been too much in terms of tone.

Christine and Audra were great in this week’s episode! There were times in the episode where I felt a little tense as to where the writing was headed but in the end I found it to be one of the sharpest episodes of the season. That interaction Diane had with her imaginary projection of Ruth Bader Ginsburg was heartfelt.

I’m very intrigued for the season ahead. The last time Diane tried to set up a female led firm things didn’t end well in The Good Wife/Fight universe haha…

    Oh dear…

It was great to see Elaine May in this episode. I freaked out when I saw her name in the opening credits.

The inner conflict today’s episode created in me… either I’m paying attention more or the Kings have seriously elevated their writing this season.

IMO it improved a lot starting last season. The “Alternate Reality” and “Jeffrey Epstein” episodes were probably the best in the Wife/Fight universe (ok, we love Hitting The Fan and The Last Call too).

I loved Elaine May’s performance – she was a scene stealer. It’s sad that it was a subtle performance that is probably going to be overlooked.

They’re really going there with Diane, huh? Brave decision by Robert and Michelle and carefully realized by Aurin Squire, who’s one of my favorite Fight/Evil writers. I love that Diane clearly knows and vocalizes the right thing to do, but nevertheless makes this decision… This is a great episode for Baranski, who hasn’t yet had an “Alternate Reality” showcase this season. Elaine May as Ruth Bader Ginsburg is so inspired. The caliber of talent this series continues to attract is next-level. May doesn’t have an Emmy nomination, so hopefully this appearance will do the trick. On the heels of her honorary Oscar, I could almost see it happening. I loved Audra McDonald in this, too, opposite Christine and Mandy, plus everything they’re doing with Wackner’s court. Now past the half-way mark, I think this will end up being one of the show’s strongest seasons.

Tbh someone probably told her of the joke rather than her actually being an active viewer of the show.

The irony of the dialogue being about trying to get cancelled and now her stans are trying to get it cancelled.

The line was clearly a reference to the Saved By The Bell firestorm and not a joke at her expense.

Either way, we appreciate Selena Gomez bringing attention to The Good Fight lol.

    Love that it made Deadline:

I love when popstars take offense in something, try to drag it online but only end up giving the show more attention, just like when Taylor Swift gave a bunch of new fans to Ginny and Georgia and Netflix renewed the show two weeks after.
