Oh my god, I just realised that Michael’s conclusion about the lack of admissions since 1597 is the exact same reasons that Chidi thought he never got in during the second season. Almond milkJanuary 15, 2019 at 8:08 am #1202735050
Talk show alert! The cast will appear on Conan O’Brien’s new half-hour late night show the night before the season finale on 1/23. KB, William Harper, Jameela Jamil, D’Arcy Carden and Manny Jacinto.January 16, 2019 at 3:31 pm #1202736739
From SpoilerTV, who have seen this: “The Good Place pulls out all the stops with this episode. Its usual quick pace gets even quicker and makes it clear some big changes are coming to the show.”
Episode 3.12:. Chidi Sees the Time-Knife
Guest star: Maya Rudolph
Written by Christopher Incell and Joe Mande; directed by Jude Weng
Michael’s persistence wins him, Janet and the humans a return audience with someone who really, really, REALLY, doesn’t care for them: Judge Gen. At an IHOP, no less. Only this is an Interdimensional Hole of Pancakes, “the most dangerous place in the universe”, per Michael. With no less than the afterlives of humanity’s past, present and future hanging in the balance.January 17, 2019 at 10:03 am #1202737642
Great interview with Kristen Bell on the eve of the show’s penultimate episode of the season.January 17, 2019 at 7:19 pm #1202738082
A masterclass in ensemble acting, a tour de force in visual effects, and writing and directing that was wonderful from minute one until the end. The show’s F-U to the Directors Guild, Critics Choices, the Visual Effects Society (hey, Riles, watch the VFX from tonight’s episode and then rag on their quality) SAG and Producers Guild, when they lose that to the infernal Mrs. Maisel in 48 hours or so.
30 minutes of goodness await next week, and then 8 months of cooling jets until season 4.January 17, 2019 at 9:28 pm #1202738195

It has been a rollicking, roller coaster ride of a season; its best for being noticed by more and more award guilds, even if the reign of terror that is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel continues on a Trumpian scale (as in how the F did this show even get any traction? “Tits up?” Seriously?) Soon, we bid the true, undisputed, uncrowned best comedy on TV goodbye for the next 8 months. The wait will be nothing short, for its fan base, aka Team Cockroach, of tortuous.

Dear Screen Actors Guild,
You have been found guilty of leaving out the best comedy series of the past 3 years, The Good Place from Sunday’s ceremony. As penance, every one of your members will be required to watch tonight’s season finale on a continuous loop which will render you embarrassed that you are going to perpetuate the MYTH of the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’s continued fraudulence in being TV’s best comedy when it isn’t.
William Jackson Harper sealed his upcoming Supporting Comedy Actor Emmy tonight. Best episode of the season, of the series, and its most heartbreaking. Still in an emotional puddle right now. More later on.
