Episode 6 was another visual masterpiece; the Washington scenes were all just incredibly well shot (which isn’t a surprise). Moss was amazing; June finally told Serena what a mess (understatement) she’s created; my favorite scene of the episode, alongside that excellent scene between June and Aunt Lydia; they sure as hell are building up to her backstory episode. WTF with Nick?! So he’s bad now, huh? Or did I misunderstand something? Damn at that Handmaid with the mouth piece – that made my skin crawl.

This show is so great when expanding the world, but June needs to get with it. What’s her plan? When will she unleash holy hell, because I am waiting for it!

Guys. That confrontation scene between June and Serena in front of the Lincoln Memorial with them screaming at each other, their voices echoing around that huge chamber, causing what would’ve been a huge scene if anyone were to be within earshot of them…

…ONLY FOR JUNE TO TURN AROUND AND WALK TOWARD A CROWD OF THOUSANDS OF HANDMAIDS ON THE NATIONAL MALL STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEM.

    Lord.

Yeah I didn’t get that at all.

Sometimes you can explain some scenes to yourself… There was a big amount of time between their confrontation and her going with the rest, she was hugging the statue and was having a moment or you can just accept that they were not able to hear it.

A brilliant episode, the cinematography, the directing, the acting and the editing are incomparable to other shows, we are speaking about a different level. Dearbhla Walsh will be nominated for her directing here. The Nick revelation was something that was coming from a long time, he is equally ambiguous in the books as well.

I’m watching episode four right now and I’m confused. Commander Waterfrod’s arc seems off, I’m not buying it.Suddenly he believes her daughter is safer in Canada? He would NEVER agree with that on season one and two, and there was no transition from those seasons to this one that could make me believe that.
Please consider that I just started episode four, if I’m missing something important don’t spoil it please.
Also, this was already posted but I’m tired of the close ups. They are no longer impactful.

Just finished episode six.I don’t get what happened with Nick to be honest. They were going to take his testament as a commander, but later dismissed it because before that he served to Gillead as part of the army? How does that make his testament against Gillead less believable or relevant? It seems like quite the opposite to me.I may he wrong though but I didn’t really get that.
Besides from that, the direction, cinematography and acting remain flawless.

Okay, finally watched episodes 3-6. My general opinion is: almost every episode this season had great scenes, moments and performances, but the impression I have about this show is they always shoot themselves in the foot. Every episode have some elements that don’t work at all and kill all my excitment about the season. Sometimes is the song, sometimes is the repetitive plot, scenes with no purpose, many things don’t make sense and this obssession in stay focusing June in a plot that don’t get almost any development. Emily is a far more interesting character in this point. But I think this season could be better than season 2, if they wake up and make a better development and more cohesive story.

No at all, he went there and he decided not to go to testify and to leave, but he was catched at the last moment. Then they did talked, but we do not know what about. It is pretty obvious that he was not as cooperative as he promised to June (hence he trying to leave). After that we saw him enjoying being commander of the troops. But I do not get why there are some people that were that surprised, all this was foreshadowed multiple times in both the book and the show.

And what you said about Fred is completely inaccurate. Fred did not said that he believes that Nicole will be better there, he just asked Serina if she is having a second thought about it and how so if she was the one that was saying that Nichole is safer there… But Serena behaviour has been wonderfully explained as well.

Ok, I get what happened with Nick now.

About commander Fred, I´d have to watch it again. But the character from the previous season would never ask Serena what she thinks, even less about her daughter.

Darlings, why the show isn’t eligible for the Emmys and a guest actress from this show is?

I was your Prime Minister once.
