First episode came out today. The show continues to be very strong. I’m not sure if he’s directing any other episodes this season, but Jon Favreau’s work here would be deserving of a nomination. The episode’s special guest might make a decent nod too, though the way they ended things makes me pretty sure he’ll be seen again this season and he might exceed episode count. Also shoutout to Pedro Pascal. This role has never offered him any great showcases, but he’s always done a great job with body language and vocal inflections nonetheless. Excited for the rest of this season.

She’s not necessarily bad, but it feels like she’s on some kind of different wavelength from the rest of the show, and her scenes have been distracting. I don’t recall her being like that in the first season, but I just hope she tones it down a bit if she pops up again.

It’s episodic sometimes but mainly follows the story plot. So i guess its serialized drama.

Don’t get me wrong i still love that baby with all my heart. But this episode shows that there is hope if baby yoda is no longer in the show.

So far, great season.

Getting better and better as the season goes. Looking like a viable contender
ReplyCopy URLDecember 5, 2020 at 12:24 pm #1203896560This season is definitely better than the first. These last two episodes have been excellent, especially last week’s, which is contending with the first season finale as by far the show’s best episode in my book.
Giancarlo looks to be supporting this year. I hope they give him a decent amount of material in these best two episodes, as so far, he feels far more guest in terms of presence. The show could possibly get other guest actors into play next year, like Olyphant and Dawson, though it’s harder to say since they don’t have the same established Emmy presence than Esposito did. But considering things look empty, it could happen.

ReplyCopy URLDecember 11, 2020 at 11:24 am #1203912219I think it is a big mistake to have Giancarlo Esposito in Supporting. His role this season is still a guest in my book, and in Supporting he has no chance of getting nominated.

I think they were more focused on doing what they wanted to do than worrying about whose guest eligible.
And it’s true, no matter how prominent he is in the last episode, he’s clearly been a guest this season. Pascal is the only member of the main cast.
Anyway, these last few episode have been excellent. Hoping they stick the landing with the finale, which I’m sure they’ll do.
