ABC’s newest sitcom premiered last week but had its time slot debut last night and I’m really loving this! The first two episodes started off nice but last night’s episode really makes me excited for more. Noah Galvin is really excellent as the lead and Martha Plimpton is terrific as always. Anyone else watching this gem?March 9, 2016 at 12:39 pm #368281
I am I am and I love it too!! I would watch Martha Plimpton do just about anything. I loved Jay R. Ferguson in last night’s episode.March 9, 2016 at 1:03 pm #368282
I watched the pilot, and while funny, wasn’t immediately drawn in. I like the concept mostly but I wanted to laugh more than I did.March 9, 2016 at 4:45 pm #368283
I saw last nights episode and enjoyed it. I loved Martha Plimpton in Raising Hope and was annoyed she only received one emmy nomination for it. The actor who plays the gay character (sorry, other then Martha, not sure of the other actors names), was really good. I enjoyed the dance sequence the most. I thought he did a good job of being excited for the date and how he felt being rejected.March 9, 2016 at 8:40 pm #368284
I’m also really enjoying this and I thought the third episode was the best one yet. I’d like to see this one stick around for a bit. Noah Galvin is quite the find, and Martha Plimpton is great as always. I’ll be keeping up with this one for sure!March 10, 2016 at 6:52 am #368285
I watced the first 2 episodes and they just fell flat for the most part. I’m skipping this show.March 10, 2016 at 11:29 pm #368286
Martha Plimpton is as always good, and probably has an outside shot
at a nomination because she seems to be one of those actresses the
emmys just like. But imo the real standout is Noah Galvin who plays
Kenny. That kid is killing it and she steals every scene he’s in and
does a good job making some of thr cornier more stilted lines work.
Considering how weak lead actor in a comedy is i could see myself
thinking he deserves a nom, even though he doesnt have any chance.
that scene with him and plimpton on the porch was great. As the two
central characters of the show theyre doing great, im liking this a lot
more than i thought I would.March 11, 2016 at 12:13 am #368287
Love this show and I really hope it has a future. Noah Galvin is fantastic and Plimpton is wonderful as usual. I actually liked the third episode the best so far.March 15, 2016 at 7:33 am #599209
New episode tonight!March 31, 2016 at 7:23 am #661243
I am really loving this show. It just improves with each episode. Noah Galvin deserves a Lead Actor nominationMarch 31, 2016 at 8:34 am #661259
Noah Galvin is purely fantastic in the show. In such a weak lead actor year I would be more than thrilled if he slipped in. Unfortunately I don’t see that happening unless the show picks up some major buzz, but he deserves it. I really hope they don’t relegate him to supporting just because he’s young.
The first few episodes had me laughing out loud multiple times. I was genuinely surprised how much I liked the show. I’ll be honest, Tuesday night’s episode fell a little flat for me for a couple reasons. I’m hoping maybe I just wasn’t in the right mindset for the episode or something because I think this show has real potential to be great.March 31, 2016 at 10:13 am #661273
Agreed, I’m really enjoying this. Noah Galvin is taking this role and running with it. It’s a good fit with the ABC lineup, and I hope they keep the show (don’t know how it’s performing, ratings-wise).April 12, 2016 at 5:00 pm #1201673914
The pilot is reairing tonight if you have watched it yet!
Also, ABC is being ridiculous putting Noah Galvin in supporting. He is totally the focal point of the seriesApril 12, 2016 at 6:31 pm #1201673921
While that’s total category fraud, it’s not surprising they would put him in Supporting since he’s a younger actor. I wish he had a real shot at a nomination because he would have a great tape since he’s basically the main focus of every episode’s arc. Also, Tim Gunn?? Wonder what he will be doing.
