The Witcher on Netflix released it’s first official trailer at SDCC today. It looks great. It looks like they are really taking their time with this story so I’m excited. Here’s the trailer: https://youtu.be/cSqi-8kAMmM

This looks very generic. I think the next ‘game of thrones’ Will be the game of thrones prequel.

I wonder how the hoard will accept the Game of Thrones prequel though… will they be objective about it because it’s not D&D or they’ll blindly trash it from the start for its relation to the main series. These r/freefolk people have the mentality of 6 year olds

FYC: Lena Headey ("Game of Thrones") for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, Miguel Sapochnik (“Game of Thrones”) for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series

Darlings, this is not the next GOT lmao. Hopefully it will be better than that last season. We know for sure Henry Cavill is hot, so that’s something, I guess.

LENA HEADEY hasn't got an Emmy for Game of Thrones????? Emmys you need to win her right now!!

If Lena Headey doesn't win the Emmy, I'm leaving GoldDerby forever.

it really depends on what the show focusses on. If they only focus on the origins of the white walkers people Will be less interested cause they feel that they were not important to the original story. But GRRM seems to be deeply involved with that project so maybe that Will encourage people to watch iT. Maybe they should just go with 3 seasons a spinoff. Then we can also get the targaryen spinoff which i think they should have gone with to begin with

This looks good, now compering a new show to GoT is not going to do any good to the new one, not even to the GoT prequel.

FYC: Drama Series: Game of Thrones, Comedy Series: Barry, Limited Series: Chernobyl, Drama Lead Actor: Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Drama Lead Actress: Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Drama Directing: Miguel Sapochnik for The Long Night (Game of Thrones), Drama Writing: Jed Mercurio for Episode 1 (Bodyguard)

<p style=”direction: ltr;”>I think the greatest effect the fact that none of these shows will become the next GoT anytime soon will be that maybe more people will realize no matter how good the source material is you need extra brilliant show runners to execute it</p>

I think it’s closer to the new Vikings. Still looks enjoyable though.
