I look back to what Rebecca said in 2×07 “The 20s” (when Tess was born) about how even the happiest moments would be a little sad since Jack had passed away. I sobbed over the montage realizing how Jack was not there to see what has become of his children and to meet all of his grandchildren.
Kevin and Randall’s imminent face- to- face scene/ meeting will be groundbreaking, I can not wait to see how they handle their fall out. I was touched when Kevin said Randall was the best person he knows and implied that he is always trying to be the kind of person Randall is. It’s become painfully obvious that most of the stuff Randall said during their big fight in 4×18 was true.
I am so happy we got a decent amount of both Milo V and Mandy. Moreover, I’m glad the next episode is actually next Tuesday!

Synopsis: A series of car rides propels the Pearsons toward new stages of their lives.

ReplyCopy URLFebruary 24, 2021 at 10:16 am #1204058914The only pivotal car ride was with Kate & Toby’s birth mother not wanting an open adoption, which I think she will change her mind at some point down the line. Other than that, the other car rides were fairly ho-hum. The casting for future Déjà though was incredible. If that was meant as a shocking reveal at the end, it really wasn’t, b/c her smile & mannerisms gave it away instantly. Get that casting Emmy lol! Also, a promo announced that Phylicia Rashad is returning in March! Another chance to lose to whatever cameo Cherry Jones is appearing in 2021. Very much looking forward to Rashad’s return!

ReplyCopy URLMarch 17, 2021 at 12:13 pm #1204141212I think that was probably my favorite episode of the season so far. Funny, heartfelt, honest. It was great for the entire ensemble! Chris Sullivan and Susan Kelechi Watson both had a good episode acting-wise finally. Maybe Phylicia Rashad moves up to Supporting? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Michael Angarano is back next week yay!
ReplyCopy URLMarch 18, 2021 at 12:13 pm #1204143544I would really like Ventimiglia to submit as Supporting for this season. Supporting is less competitive than Lead this year, and Hartley has more screentime than him in Season 5.
Although within that logic, would Hartley also have a much better chance of being nominated as Supporting?

The exact thing I was thinking while making my own predictions… was that this is probably Justin Hartley’s strongest chance of a nomination in the Supporting category.
ReplyCopy URLMarch 19, 2021 at 1:27 am #1204144709I would love Hartely (lead or supporting) and Ventimiglia (supporting) making the list, but I can’t see anyone nominated apart from Sterling K. Brown.
