Fiennes was nominated at SAG in 2019 and was nominated at the Emmys in 2018. Whitford won the Guest Acting Emmy last year.

Both are competing in Supporting Actor this year but which one would you vote for (for the nomination)?

FYC Emmys : THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, SUCCESSION AND THE CROWN IN ALL CATEGORIES. Tony Shalhoub ("Maisel"), Cate Blanchett ("Mrs. America"), Matthew Macfadyen, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook ("Succession"), Tracey Ullman ("Mrs. America") and Louis Gossett Jr. ("Watchmen")

    Whitford easily.

You wouldn’t vote for Fiennes even as a nominee? Harsh.

Fiennes…by a mile. Whitford is good but (slightly) overrated.

FYC Emmys: Helena Bonham Carter (Drama Supporting Actress), Olivia Colman (Drama Actress), Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh (Drama Actress), Fiona Shaw (Drama Supporting Actress), Zendaya (Drama Actress), Alexis Bledel (Drama Guest Actress)

Maybe for the third season. But there are episodes, like “Night,” in which I don’t think he’s that good.

I voted Fiennes because he’s gotten better each season in my opinion and Whitford didn’t have a lot to do.

I honestly feel no shame in saying Fiennes has been and always will be dreadful in this show

If that’s your own opinion then let it be your opinion!

Tbh Fiennes. I don’t remember anything memorable Whitford has done in s3.

I might consider Fiennes a bit more now if the results of the poll end up like they are right now.

At least to me S3 was mostly about June so the other characters didn’t have enough scenes to deserve nominations for this year.

Controversial but I actually think she gives the best performance on the show. Can’t wait to see her deliver again in Stateless.

To think ten years ago that we’d be taking the co-lead of Chuck as a serious dramatic actress lmao.

Don’t know if anyone else here played the Mass Effect series, but her vocal performance there proved her dramatic chops to me long before Handmaid’s Tale.
