Tichina Arnold and the… Emmys

Can we discuss the horrific Emmy snubs for the legendary Tichina Arnold.

She has given us two Emmy worthy characters that have stood the test of time. Pamela “Pam” James (Martin) and Rochelle (Everybody Hates Chris) are two outstanding portrayals and she would have been worth competing for those roles. I am so glad that the Emmys are now diversifying their nominees/winners.

Her and Tisha Campbell

I don’t understand why Tisha wasn’t nominated for My Wife And Kids.

ABC didn’t have any money to campaign back then ???

If Everybody Hates Chris existed now, she would’ve been a multi-nominee. Am I making this up, but was she prenominated in 2006? Anyways, she was in that skit from a few years ago that highlighted black sitcom legends.

I was thinking about this as well. If she gets a new show today I see her just steamrolling the way Henry Winkler did.

Tichina has been criminally unrecognized when it comes to awards. Her sole Emmy nomination is her Daytime Emmy nomination for her work on Ryan’s Hope.
