    Hugh Laurie actually shocked me.

Also going to suck when this list is going to be modified in a few months to include Lena Headey.

I think a few of the below should have been on the list:

Kim Cattrall received 5 nominations for Sex & The City and never won

Jane Kaczmarek received 7 nominations for Malcolm in the Middle and never won

Jane Krakowski received 5 nominations for her work on 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt and never won

Jesse Tyler Ferguson received 5 nomination for Modern Family and never won

Patricia Richardson received 4 nominations for Home Improvement and never won

Jill Eikenberry received 5 nominations for her work on L.A.Law and never won

Julia Duffy received 7 nominations for her work on Newhart and never won

Courteney Cox went completely unnoticed for her ten seasons on Friends and six seasons on Cougar Town.

Lorraine Bracco received 4 nominations for The Sopranos without a win. IMO, she should have defeated Edie Falco for the third season.

Michael K. Williams has received 2 nominations for his work on Bessie and The Night Of. Not to mention, his five seasons on The Wire went unnoticed.

Idris Elba has received 5 nominations for his work on The Big C and Luther. He, too, went unnoticed for his stint on The Wire.

Shonda Rhimes has received 2 nominations for her work on Grey’s Anatomy while also lending her talents to Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, Scandal, Private Practice and How to Get Away with Murder.

Is Kristen Bell a big star?

Considering she was the star of one of the best series of the 2000’s (Veronica Mars; #20 in Metacritic’s own said ranking) and just 10 days ago The Good Place was named by TVLine as one of the best comedy series of THIS decade proves that yeah, she belongs on this list.

    Thanks, Chris.

(ETA: to say nothing of her guest work on Heroes, Party Down and lead actress on House of Lies…)

Marla Gibbs (rightfully) gets mentioned, but Sherman Hemsley doesn’t? The man only received one nomination and never won.

This is true – Cybill Shepherd earned 4 Emmy nominations – 1 for Moonlighting and 3 for Cybill.

Heather Locklear– A major star on TV in the 1980’s and 1990’s and she was never once nominated for “Dynasty”, “Melrose Place” or “Spin City”.

Sarah Michelle Gellar— Despite critical acclaim for her work on “Buffy”; she never got a single nod. Though she does boast a Daytime Emmy for her stellar performance on “All My Children.”

Dixie Carter— the star of “Designing Women” was never nominated for her outstanding performance. Her only nominations were in 2007 for “Desperate Housewives” and a Daytime Emmy nods for a special in the 1990.

Brooke Shields— Considering her lengthy career it’s a shocker that Brooke has ZERO Emmy’s to her name.

I wonder if Dixie Carter was 6th in the vote totals for a couple of years for the nominees for Lead Actress while on Designing Women
