    https://www.tvguide.com/news/100-best-shows-right-now/

“Here’s how we came up with the list: We limited eligibility for the 100 Best Shows Right Now to ongoing shows that have at least one more season slated to air — guidelines that disqualified limited series like Sharp Objects, as well as shows that just ended, like Adventure Time. With that in mind, every staffer nominated 25 shows (for a total of 149), and the most-nominated shows made our shortlist. Then, each staffer voted on the ranking order, and to help adjust for bias, one ballot was based on sister site Metacritic’s TV rankings. With the complicated math out of the way, the final rank order was determined after much passionate debate among TV Guide’s editors.”

I wholeheartedly approve of this list being posted as a thread in order for you to stan The Good Place. It is a forking magnificent TV show to get invested in and a perfectly believable #1 choice for this list. No BS here. Rick and Morty should be higher than #20, Steven Universe should be MUCH higher than #50 (like Top 10, easily), This Is Us should be lower than #9, and The Handmaid’s Tale should probably be far lower than #17. Also, how the fork is The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on this list but no Late Night with Seth Meyers, which is clearly a more fresh and nuanced and most importantly of all funny variety talk show? Any list of the Top 100 best TV shows on right now that forgets include Survivor at all anywhere loses quite a lot of credibility with me. I could understand if it didn’t crack the Top 20 or even Top 30 to be fair here, but not even in the Top 100?! Get the fork out of here with that garbage, especially when The Voice gets a spot at #89. I just love The Good Place not only making the cut but actually getting in at #1, only shows how badly the Emmys screwed up on that one this year, hopefully we see more regular cast members besides Danson make the cut next year.

Riverdale‘s ranking seems high since every time I hear about the show, it’s been people complaining about it.

Veep and The Crown are too low and This is Us too high.

I am fine with The Crown at 24. For where Veep is at right now I would honestly rank it way higher than Atlanta. The Glover show sure has some stellar episodes like “B.A.N.,” “Juneteenth,” “Barbershop” and “Teddy Perkins” but the JLD political satire has more consistency and a deeper bench of hilarious characters.

People LOVE the show, but I haven’t seen it. I’ve heard very few people (Hunter-ish is the only one I recall by name) complaining about it even on these forums.

    Riverdale is awful.

There’s another one who hates it. I knew there was at least a couple others who weren’t Riverdale fans on these forums.

    11. Jane the Virgin (The CW)

One of the most underrated show. The best thing airing on network TV, in my opinion.

I never said anything to indicate anyone was lying about anything. Don’t know what you’re going on about.

There are around 8-10 shows I don’t think deserve a spot above it.

You are completely right about Veep. The best comedy currently on air.

I’ll give you close to 8, though I haven’t seen all of the shows in the Top 24 so I can’t say exactly, though Jane the Virgin being at 11 over its seemingly more acclaimed (from what I’ve read) sister show on the CW Crazy Ex-Girlfriend strikes me as particularly odd.
