Excited to revisit this series. That first season is a classic, a completely engrossing mystery from start to finish with a fantastic lead performance by Kristen Bell, who should’ve handily won the Emmy for Lead Actress.June 24, 2019 at 10:51 am #1202949890

Delightful Kristen Bell TV Line interview:
“I will keep doing this show until everyone in Neptune is dead. And then the big reveal [in the eventual series finale] is that Veronica‘s the criminal; she killed everyone!”
“It was a big decision to come back to the show because it’s a huge undertaking. And that means I’m going to miss a lot of [my kids’] bedtimes. But I said to myself, ‘If we can do it right, it will be worth it because Veronica will be out in the world again as an inspiration.’ I want my girls to have that. And I want people to say, as I do, ‘What would Veronica do?’”July 10, 2019 at 7:19 pm #1202970124
The cast of the revival will be on Conan O’Brien’s annual SDCC show a week from Friday, so if you missed out on their Ballroom 20 gig earlier in the day, a second chance, then to see them live.July 19, 2019 at 5:05 am #1202984864
Good morning, and what a day this is going to be. For the first time since May 22, 2007, there will be a new episode of Veronica Mars screened at San Diego ComicCon. This is not a drill. This is a monumental great day for those who cherish quality TV.
Enjoy this, Marshmallows.July 19, 2019 at 5:10 am #1202984866

I’m conflicted on whether or not I actually like this season so far. Bell is great but the acting from everyone outside of the original core cast is pretty sub-par. Everyone including the extras/side characters in the original series and the movie always felt like they were meant to be there, whereas everyone else now feels out of place and like as if they’re trying to “act” (Lewis is an example of this albeit Howell-Baptiste is good). And I’m not really compelled by the story so far. I could also care less for the new theme song.
“No user starts this shady” - someone culturally relevant.
Also got banned because...reasons? So, I guess ciao.July 20, 2019 at 1:41 am #1202986239
I need to pay full attention because right from the beginning Eliza Coupe shows up as basically, 100% Jane from Happy Endings. I turned it off and said “no, this needs to be saved for later. some other time.”July 20, 2019 at 8:59 am #1202986777
Episode 4.2: Chino and the Man
Guest star: JK Simmons
Written by Diane Ruggerio-Wright; directed by Michael Fields
Veronica and Keith launch their investigation. Their involvement puts Sheriff Langdon on edge. Penn Epner, the pizza delivery guy, goes public with his theory on who the bomber is. Local teen Matty Ross begins her own search for her father’s killer.
