Collette was 100% supporting in my eyes. There was almost always more focus on Wever between the two. To me it’s kind of like BLL where Wever is Kidman, obviously lead, Dever is Woodley (season 1), probably a lead but close enough to supporting that it wouldn’t shock anyone for her to submit there. And Collette is Dern (Season 2), a major character with plenty to do but still clearly a supporting role.  I don’t really think Collette is on the same level as Wever and Dever with her performance so I don’t really care about her anyway.

Collette was the only one who didn’t have an episode totally centered on her (Ep 1 for Dever and Ep 2 for Wever), I think that’s part of the reason why she feels like second fiddle to Wever’s character development throughout most of the series. I would feel comfortable putting her in supporting but also I’m worried she and Dever would vote split there so idk

Yeah, but if she’s in lead with Wever they could split. I’d sacrifice Dever in order to help Wever. I don’t really think it’ll be competitive for major wins anyway so it probably doesn’t matter.

Wever and Dever are arguably more lead than Collette. If I had to choose I’d put Wever as the lead and she’s the MVP too for me here. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, Emmys, you better nominate Dever.

I finally finished it after taking a break from watching TV shows. This was truly something. Marie went through all that stuff for 2 years?! It really makes me want to hug both Dever for playing this role so flawlessly and the real life person. I am basic and thought I wouldn’t like it but it was a very captivating miniseries. All 3 co-leads were exceptional with Wever, as I’ve said, the MVP. But also the guest stars who played the other victims were great in the court scenes and especially Danielle Macdonald throughout. I kinda hope SAG made a miniseries ensemble category cuz I’d root hard for this to get mominated.

I think this show also proves how there should be a Guest Actor/Actress in a Miniseries category at the Emmys. Danielle McDonald, Bridget Everett, Elizabeth Marvel, and Jayne Taini would all be outstanding candidates depending on what screentime rules they would enforce. I felt the same way about Margo Martindale in The Act.

Or the entire cast of When They See Us sans one or two names.

100%. I also was thinking Annaleigh Ashford would make a great guest contender, but definitely Danielle Macdonald as well.

I’m late to the party but I’m finally here. It’s a wonderful mini series and it deserves nods all around. I’m really hoping it won’t be forgotten until July.

Sadly this show easily will be forgotten.
Wever is lead and Collette supporting. No doubts.
Dever is bordeline..of course better chance is in supporting.

This was disturbing and heartbreaking. It won’t receive any major award nominations though.

This show is incredible in acting way. Obviously Wever and Dever are phenomenal (two of my favorite performances ever) but even actors with smaller parts like Eric Lange and especially Elizabeth Marvel are also terrific. Writing and directing is top notch and so is the pacing, which is impressive because I often find with prestige dramas there are problems with pacing.

For me, all three are lead. Even though Collette has the smallest part, I think she should go lead so Dever can go supporting. It would be fraud, I know, but I would look past it if it meant Dever’s incredible performance was nominated.

I was so hyped to watch this show.
I love Kaitlyn Dever with all my heart. I’m a fan since “Laggies”
But I didn’t like it. I drop out in episode 3, I was trying to like it, but its just not for me. It has a lot of problems with the pace. Its a really slooow burn.
But I’m glad the story is being told, it’s an important one. And Kaitlyn should be more recognized.

She has a little more to do in the 2nd half, but she’s definitely not a lead on this show.
