How is it trolling? This thread is called unpopular opinions. I don’t like her performance in Watchmen. I find it bland.

Regina is great in Watchmen. But I agree with you to a certain extent. I found her a little muted as well. I found her more enthralling in American Crime especially season 3

I personally think King was great in Watchmen but that the performance has been overhyped and is not as good as some make it out to be.

King was outshined by her scene partners.

This! Jean Smart basically stole Regina’s wind in Watchmen in every scene. Rooting for her to win this year (over Holland Taylor AGAIN lol)!

Fargo season 2 should’ve won Best Limited Series, as should have Bokeem Woodbine.

Big fan of Better Call Saul, Sex Education, Barry, BoJack Horseman, and, especially, Survivor

The Morning Show has the worst casting this Emmy season.

I wouldn’t have nominated Mark Duplass or Steve Carell for The Morning Show this year.

Odenkirk is the worst snub of the year.

Nah, that would still be Rhea Seehorn who was the MVP of Saul’s 5th season imo.

I don’t understand all the hate for Olivia Colman here in GD – and it’s just a GD thing, as I couldn’t notice the hate in other forums, critics reviews or even twitter.

IMO she was not the best this season, but she was great.

This. I may not have enjoyed her performance as much as Foy’s but people thinking that she wasn’t even acting (not a direct quote) or that she gave the worst performance ever are just reaching. I think her real weakness was that she wasn’t able to display enough range because of a lack of material rather than because she was bad and I am actually confident in her being better in season 4 with more material (although I don’t think she’ll ever be as good as Foy).

I actually think people are underestimating her for the win. I mean there is no frontrunner in that category and a lot of high profile actors (i.e. Alec Baldwin, Amy Adams) have said they are big fans of her performance.

1- Witherspoon should have won the Emmy for season 1 of Big Little Lies.

2- Of all the nominees for Drama Actress this year, Aniston and Linney are the only two who could not be replaced. Witherspoon and Kidman should be there, making 4 locked nominees.

3- Julia Roberts should have won for Homecoming.

4- Chris Lilley should have multiple Emmys for Summer Heights High and Ja’mie.

5- Mark Duplass has better material than Billy Crudup on TMS.

Witherspoon gave the best performance in season 1. I loved her. And I think Kidman was the weakest of the three leads.

Colman is a great actress. She’s portayed in the past decade 4 different characters in Broadchurch, The Night Manager, Fleabag and The Crown – if you’ve watched any of these shows you’d know that she’s definitely acting in The Crown.

I agree that she didn’t have much material as Foy. TBH, she only had two episodes this season (Aberfan and Coup), while Foy had at least half of the episodes of each season for her. It’s even unfair to compare Colman and Foy.
