From what I’ve seen Justified is a pretty average show outside of Margo Martindale’s storyline.

Emma Corrin is excellent and deserves to sweep all the awards for season 4 of The Crown but she was outacted by Josh O’Connor in their scenes together.

FYC OSCARS : PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN IN ALL CATEGORIES (ESP. ACTRESS – Carey Mulligan AND ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY — EMERALD FENNELL), VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", ESSIE DAVIS FOR "BABYTEETH"

It doesn’t have to be competitive like that? I thought they both complemented one another very well.

I wasn’t trying to suggest it was competitive it’s just that in terms of the MVP for me he just edges it out. He just steals every scene he is in and whilst she was excellent throughout his performance in the scene where he’s shouting at Diana makes Corrin seem inexperienced.

Like I said they both deserve to win all the awards but O’Connor was the MVP for me.

For me, those two are neck and neck with each other, and their individual work greatly added to each other’s performances.

The Charles and Diana stuff was quite boring and the weak link in The Crown Season 4.

Nicole Kidman is better in The Prom than she was in The Undoing.

I have started watching Rome because I’m studying Roman history. The show’s pretty good but God… Polly Walker is absolutely awful in this. Yikes.

Edit : The actresses playing Cleopatra and Octavia are as bad if not worse. The only good actress in this show for now is the one playing Servilia but I really don’t like her character though.

Rachel Brosnahan in House of Cards > Rachel Brosnahan in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (she’s still excellent on Maisel though)

Having just finished Ozark, I believe Julia Garner’s Emmy win for s2 is very well deserving. However, her win for s3….well, not so much, especially when Helena Bonham Carter & Sarah Snook were riiiight there!

I agree with Garner’s win for S03 being not so deserving as S02. Considering that The Crown had only two nominations for S03 and no major wins, it felt like the academy didn’t take the show seriously. And Succession had pretty much every actor nominated, even Cousing Greg, so it makes sense that they would go through the easiest path

I finished The Leftovers and how the hell did this show not sweep for season 3? Coon and Brenneman ate their fellow contenders!

I think she was great, but Gillian Anderson didn’t wow me in The Crown.

This is why we need Carrie to sweep for The Gilded Age.
