I actually really liked both series. When I say overrated, I mean that I don’t see them with as much regard as other people do. BrBa only reached the level of greatness it is associated with in the latter half of it’s run IMO. The earlier seasons were good but Cranston’s performance was the only thing I felt was extraordinary. As for Mad Men, I loved it initially (S1 till date remains my favorite of the series) but I felt that somewhere along the line it lost its charm. I just feel both of those series had their flaws that are overlooked by people. But that’s just how I feel.

Yeah, I respect your point of view, but I strongly disagree. I think that both series are perfect from start to finish and that both of them are flawless in general. An excellent writing and acting in both cases. Especially Mad Men, I am from the people that think that it got even better after season 1, it was too focused on Don in my opinion.

I agree with this unpopular opinion. Paulson was great, but I couldn’t make it through that miniseries. I had to stop halfway through. But I usually have that issue with Ryan Murphy productions.

This does not make sense, OJ was very different from the others shows of Murphy, he had nothing to do with the writing.

The writing was fine (yes, I know he didn’t write it). It was the tone that all Ryan Murphy productions seem to have that I didn’t like about OJ. I couldn’t tell if it was comedy/satire/drama all within a single scene. I think Pose is the one production of his that doesn’t suffer from that. But ACS, AHS, Nip/Tuck, Popular, Glee, etc all have that feeling for me.

Yeah, this is why I love his shows, but I disagree about OJ, it felt like a 100% drama for me.

It was some of the performances (Travolta, Gooding, Schwimmer) that did it for me.

I’m glad we are able to maturely discuss this too. You have a wonderful day!! 🙂

I still do not understand how can you see those performances as comedic, they were theatrical, but not comedic. Have a nice day as well!

Last year, Leslie Jones’ 2nd Emmy nomination which she didn’t need should have gone to breakout star Heidi Gardner, which it would have had enough Emmy voters been actually watching SNL frequently, rather than just name-checking last year’s SNL nominees Jones, Baldwin, and McKinnon, while adding in more well-known names like Aidy Bryant and Kenan Thompson.

I wish the Academy had never discontinued the Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program. It’s never felt right to me that the SNL actors compete in the Supporting categories.

I’m still baffled at SNL getting five acting nominations in a single year.

Also, watching the nominees of the 5 were mostly painful. Jenifer Lewis from Black-ish and Martha Kelly from Baskets should have replaced the SNL nominees in Supporting Actress. Also, Sean Hayes from Will & Grace should have replaced the SNL guys in Supporting Actor.

    Is that an unpopular opinion?

South Park should have won Best Musical/Comedy Series at the Globes for Season 14 in 2010. I say the Globes and not the Emmys because that whole run of 2010 episodes is my opinion the most consistently funny parody material that the show has ever put out, which is really saying something. You can’t say it wasn’t eligible at the Globes either, since the HFPA did nominate The Simpsons in that category back in 2003.

Kanye West will not release another record on the level of Yeezus or dark twisted fantasy ever again. He is done. Jack White is also done.
