Veep and Julia Louis Dreyfus (and anything associated with either) are overrated!
9-1-1 is one of the best scripted shows on network television.
Insecure is so underrated!
Regina King was robbed her Emmy for the final season of American Crime.
FYC 2019 Emmys: Issa Rae (Insecure), Billy Porter (Pose), Carmen Ejogo (True Detective), Glynn Turman (HTGAWM), and Phylicia Rashad (This Is Us).December 20, 2018 at 10:28 am #1202706895
Survivor remains the best reality show on television, especially with its latest season which was one of the best ever.
Bob Odenkirk for the win!December 20, 2018 at 11:25 am #1202706960

Sort of irrelevant, but I never understood why Skarsgard and Dern won the Emmy in their respective categories. I haven’t seen even half of the nominees in either of their categories, but I was not that impressed by the 2; not only that but they also swept, except Dern who lost SAG to Kidman. Dern was a scene-stealer and delicious as Renata, but Idk, I guess the overdue for an Emmy narrative also helped her. And I was so meh on Skarsgard; when I first watched the series, I thought he was horrible in the therapy scenes especially. His physique is what helped him appear gr8 for the role imo. Both Kidman and Skarsgard were brave in these roles, but I just can’t be convinced by Skarsgard. He was also horrible in that car scene in the late episodes when he admitted being mentally ill. Physically he was good for the role, but acting-wise he failed to convince me personally. That’s just my opinion.December 20, 2018 at 1:52 pm #1202707089
I was happy with Dern’s win but Skarsgard’s win confuses me. And I loved almost everything about BLL.
After two seasons of The Crown I still think Jared Harris gave the best acting performance in that series. I also think there’s no reason for the life of Queen Elizabeth II to have this many seasons and that many episodes in a season. I think that Kennedy episode was one of the most ridiculous episodes I’ve seen on any tv show. It’s just Netflix funding Peter Morgan’s obsession with Queen Elizabeth II and stretching many of those plot lines as they aren’t as interesting as he thinks they are.
Also despite having the material and me liking her, it’s clear Mandy Moore is NOT a good actress.January 18, 2019 at 5:14 am #1202738406
Not sure if this is unpopular or not but:
Aaron Paul in Breaking Bad > Peter Dinklage in Game of ThronesJanuary 18, 2019 at 5:26 am #1202738411
Speaking of Breaking Bad, I don’t know why but I tried to watch this show THREE times, and each times I stopped at the second season… Each time I give up… Don’t find it THAT good and interesting for me to conclude.January 18, 2019 at 5:48 am #1202738420

The first two seasons are pretty slow but it really picks up especially in season 4 and becomes outstanding.January 18, 2019 at 5:50 am #1202738421
Six Feet Under > The WireJanuary 24, 2019 at 1:27 am #1202746464
Um, so I’m binge-watching Killing Eve right now (finally, I know) but well, to quote Elliot Alderson from Mr. Robot, “Am I the only one seeing this?”
Jodie Comer > Sandra Oh
Like, it isn’t even close. I’m in the minority on never having found Oh to be that great of an actress. She is likable, I just have never been a fan of her acting. Comer is a revelation and I think it is a damn shame that she couldn’t get an Emmy, Golden Globe, or SAG nomination while Oh was able to get in with those groups and even win Critics’ Choice over Comer. Oh seems like a nice person in real life, so no offense to her personally, but I honestly think she got all the accolades she did from the groups that nominated her but not her IMHO superior co-lead largely due to name recognition for her being a previous Emmy winner in a role widely hyped as her big TV comeback, not because the voters watched and loved Killing Eve itself.January 24, 2019 at 2:55 am #1202746535
Kanye West will not release another record on the level of Yeezus or dark twisted fantasy ever again. He is done. Jack White is also done.
He is still GOAT and does very good stuff but I don’t think anyone will do another Yeezus/MBDTF again. This is the best it can getJanuary 24, 2019 at 3:06 am #1202746544
Liev Schreiber in Ray Donovan is criminally underrated. Should have gotten much more recognition in the awards, especially for the pervious season.

Maisie Williams deserved a nom for GoT’s S7.
