I can’t imagine what will happen to Mike next season. Maybe he will do do that humor column he wanted.

At the very least, somebody else will win Best Actress In A Comedy Series starting in at least 2019. I’m ready for a breath of fresh air.

Don’t hold your breath. CBS is considering reviving The New Adventures of Old Christine. And good, I preferred her on that show than Veep.

A revival of “The New Adventures of Old Christine”….ugh. Love the fact that great shows are getting rebooted but all I really liked about that show was Wanda. But if it means Wanda getting an Emmy (which I dont think is happening this go around) I’m all for it

Wow that’s exciting news, if it ever comes to fruition! I loved Old Christine and thought it was underappreciated by CBS. Seems like most of the ensemble would be available should they opt for shorter seasons.

At the same time, I’d love to see JLD jump into different roles and mediums; time to bring her talents to the stage or more quality films like Enough Said.

I absolutely loved her in that. She really should do more films.

Idk how anyone could prefer her on Christine over Veep but like okay. That’s not really a show that needs revived, I don’t feel like it was ever all that popular, or is something people are asking for. I really want her to do more movies, and take on some dramatic roles, she was really great in Enough Said.

It makes sense. CBS has no more Emmy material. Julia Louie Dreyfus is Emmy gold. Revival of Christine = Emmy contender for CBS.

You’re by yourself here. Selina Myers is so legend and light years away from Old Christine.

I’m surprised Julia would want to jump back to network TV after such a successful run on cable; she’s said repeatedly HBO has been the best network she’s worked with. She clearly loved working on Old Christine, though, and the cancelation didn’t allow them to wrap up the story in a satisfactory way, so maybe striking while the iron is hot? They’d need to get Eric McCormack back to pick up where they left off unless they just start with a clean slate.

I would DIE if they brought back Old Christine. Jesus Christ, that show was good. JLD was perfection, and Hamish Linklater and Wanda Sykes were the perfect sidekicks.

    I. WOULD. DIE.
