Julia Garner is winning no contest. Gold Derby has an extreme Lena Heady Bias and she still has less than half the GoT vote. Garner got a SAG nom over Headey.

Does Garner even have enough support to get into third place behind Williams and Headey? I would think Gwendoline Christie would be in third.

So you really think Garner is in fourth?

Just realized Julia Garner is the only American in her category.

    Impending…

    Headey wasn’t eligible.

Oscar FYC - Lupita Nyong'o & Elisabeth Moss ("Us") - Best Actress & Supporting Actress. It must happen; otherwise the Tethered are coming.

Why not? 4 of the 6 options are Game of Thrones, are either Garner or Shaw really going to haul in very many votes?

Because that’s thinking 80% of the voters love GoT, which is probably not the case. I’m sure some voters didn’t even have GoT on their ballot and that’s why we had 8 drama nominated. That’s a minority, but it exists and is probably bigger than 80/20.

Not a Headey stanning response, but SAG is irrelevant and have a Netflix bias. They love Ozark. They’ve never nominated Headey or any other GoT cast member other than Dinklage. It doesn’t matter. I agree Garner is the safest to win, but she’s not unbeatable.

Darling, SAG are tasteless. They rewarded Animatronic, Bore and Mahershalalala this year.

As a famous singer said, "ain't nobody gonna Thatcher, Thatcher, Thatcher!"

I can see her getting a lot of Emmy support.

Is it cause she is well liked ? Performance wise she was good in some episodes in previous seasons. But this season it felt meh. I can see people voting for Maisie over Lena. But Turner over Cersei and Arya? Even as a passion pick Gwendoline would be a better choice.

I just meant she was never able to get nominated.

Well, I voted for Lena Headey not because she gave the best performance this year (I think both Garner and Williams were better). I think she should have already won an Emmy or two for how she played Cersi. I’m also a hypocrite because I hate when awards are given for career or makeups because the person was overlooked in the past. But, I just loved to hate Lena’s Cersi!
