Angelica Ross and MJ Rodriguez gave outstanding performances and I voted for them. Sad more didn’t.

Well, he is the best performer among them, especially in season 1. It is true that in season 2 they were better, but Ross had only 1 good episode, the storyline of Moore was horrible and Rodriguez is in the most competitive category where she is, to be honest, not among the 10 most deserving. If Ross was in Guest, she would have been nominated. And I agree with Luca, the only huge omission is Moore for season 1, her scenes with Peters were magic on screen.

I’d argue MJ Rodriguez was the stand out of both seasons, with Indya Moore worthy of nominations both times.

    THAT PART.

Except, IMO, Indya is overshadowed by Dominique and Angelica in Season 2 based on material.

This is fun to see! Wolfali can you do this for Drama too!

Will do later (as well as an updated sample for Comedy).

Obviously we’re not the Television Academy but it is interesting to sometimes see somethings with the Gold Derby voting (especially considering how we voted for Zendaya and Octavia Spencer and so did the TV Academy but obviously there are some unknown factors (i.e. the fact the Academy loved Insecure more than us)):

    – This forum doesn’t like Maisel so much so the fact that it is joint second in the Series race with The Good Place so far and second in Supporting Actress and almost joint in Guest Actor makes me think we’re underestimating it in those categories (particularly the latter two).

    – Considering how much this forum likes Schitt’s Creek (and how much more it likes it than the TV Academy) then Ramy Youseff is winning Lead Actor.

    – Considering how many people voted for Ramy Youseff if the results are similar to that of the Emmys then Mahershala Ali is in trouble.

    – D’Arcy Carden is also in trouble at the Emmys (from the results so far) and there seems to be a weird overlap between The Good Place and Schitt’s voters. However it could be the case that we should look at the previous year votes for Carden as this is her first nomination and it could be that voters are watching the Janet(s) episode of The Good Place and thinking they are judging her based on that episode or that Carden just needs to get nominated at the Emmys to win (like Jodie Comer or Tatiana Maslany).

    – This forum likes The Politician more but it looks like we might be underestimating Bette Midler.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", GLENN CLOSE FOR "HILLBILLY ELEGY", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

    – There is a big crossover in fans of D’Arcy Carden and Annie Murphy (i.e. D’Arcy is losing votes to Annie here this year). This seems to be helping Annie here but it will be interesting if there is a crossover in the Academy and they vote split.

    – Alex Borstein is roughly in the same position she was last year in regards to these awards.

    – Gillian Anderson might be the new D’Arcy Carden and Shadows might be the new The Good Place here.

Schitt’s is the most vulnerable of the three Series frontrunners.

    – A lot of people voting Ozark in Series actually voted for Colman. People who voted Succession voted Linney + Comer, people who voted Pose tended to vote for Zendaya.

    – There were lots of accounts set up just to vote for Octavia Spencer and Chris Evans.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", GLENN CLOSE FOR "HILLBILLY ELEGY", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).
