Best episode of the season. it felt like Westworld fully returned to its glory last night. Tessa Thompson hopefully gets even ore material like this later in the season because she was mesmerizing. I am gonna hope that maybe if she can get a nomination, I don’t see it really happening but I would love to see that just for this episode alone. Wood and Paul continue to have astonishing chemistry and are just amazing in the show.

Evan Rachel Wood is doing amazing work and if she misses it will be due to her statement about Kobe Bryant’s dead and nothing else.

Literally the only people still talking about her comments on Kobe are her fans.

What a talented cast this show has. Thandie Newton completely owned the second episode and Tessa Thompson was phenomenal in the third. Aaron Paul is so good in this show, he definitely deserves some Emmy love. Of course Evan Rachel Wood and Jeffrey Wright are always a delight as well. They both need to keep their spots in their respective categories. Even Luke Hemsworth, Simon Quarterman and Rodrigo Santoro have been really good.

I’m enjoying this season so much because I understand 99% of the plot unlike in previous seasons. I hope the next episode mainly focuses on Williams/ Ed Harris, he’s been away for too long.

Oh… and the music was particularly amazing in episode 3.

Good episode! Tessa Thompson was amazing, and even though I know it won’t happen, it would be great to see her nominated. My biggest issue with this season so far is Paul’s character. He just has such a generic and frankly boring backstory, and I just have no idea what purpose he’s serving in the story right now. Will be excited to see Ed Harris back next week, but I hope Thandie Newton is back as well then. Some episodes just seem so long without Maeve.

Dolores tells Tessa Thompson’s host to meet an “old friend”, which is probably William. Tommy Flanagan’s host is going to speak to Liam soon about the shares in Delos, and Bernard is coming for him too. They’ll all collide this episode probably. Maeve is in the preview, I think she’ll be doing some murder training for a lot of the season and meet the rest of the cast near the end.

I saw a theory about Aaron Paul’s character being the one inside Charlotte Hale’s body. That would be totally a westworld twist but I would not know how that would work

I think they should place Paul in lead, Harris and Wright in supporting. If they want to promote Cassel too they can bump Wright to lead.

Or it will be because the category is stacked this year.

Big fan of Better Call Saul, Sex Education, Barry, BoJack Horseman, and, especially, Survivor

The Lead Actress Drama category has always been stacked and she still managed to get in for the show’s first two seasons.

We do have to remember that Wood has beat out big contenders like Mandy Moore, Laura Linney, Winona Ryder, Viola Davis, and Emilia Clarke before. She’s far from a lightweight or a “sneak-in” nominee.

I’m happy that people seem to be enjoying this season and I hope you all continue to have good television viewing experiences, but I think I’m officially too dumb to watch this show without deriving an ounce of pleasure out of it. Maybe I’ll circle back at the end of the season depending on how things pan out with fan reception, but it’s all a bit too much for me. Perhaps it’s because of the global pandemic that is constantly on my mind that is making it difficult to focus on this show or get excited about something that I don’t necessarily enjoy watching because I’m too confused. But I think this is the end of the road for me, or at least a stopping point for now.

Yes, but this new list is a lot more intimidating – Aniston, Colman, Comer, Kidman, Witherspoon, etc. plus everyone you just mentioned besides Clarke up again. I believe she deserves to be at least top two every year she’s on the show, but this year particularly is crowded.

It is reductive not to come up with better wording, but the show has gotten too sci-fi for me.  All of these robots are running around and I just do not care. I do not even care for the performances and I thought that last season should have won ensemble, yet it was not even nominated. Aaron Paul seems to me like another one of those actors who found the perfect role one time, but is otherwise a limited actor. Truth Be Told suggested as much and this is confirming it.

People have been liking the show though and people will like the next episode, with its answers and callbacks.  Ed Harris could submit it, but not in lead, as I was surprised to find that it is an ensemble episode. Ramin Djawadi does one of his signature orchestral covers, but I could not place the song and neither could Shazam.

Respectfully disagree with most of what is said here, but this is exactly why I doubt the show’s Emmy odds every season. You’re far from the only one who feels this way.
