Last year the category Lead Actress in comedy was 3 women who are now inelegible Edie Falco Lisa Kudrow and Amy Poehler. Nurse Jackie & parkas & Recreation are both we don’t know if the Comeback will ever make a Comeback so the question remains what three lead actresses will take those slots??? I think it is a given that Ellie Kemper will be nominated for Kimmy Schmidt as long as the academy continues liking the show. I could see Trace Ellis Ross being nominated for “Blackish” she is great. Lastly maybe Jane Fonda could be nominated her “Grace & Frankie” Co-star Lilly Tomlin. Longshots would be the “Broad City” stars Anna Faris for MOM etc. Who else could be nominated here who is new?/

That’s why I hate having so many categories. Ehh, how is Fonda given? We don’t even know if they even watch her show or they just like their Tomlin. If she’s “Fonda” she should have made it in last year. And getting nominated with two of its leads in the same category, might be a stretch for a show like Grace&Frankie. Unfortunately Lena Dunham is also a possibility as Holywood feminists will never get tired of voting for her. If Farris misses again with these many slots y’now they just don’t care about Mom. I’d say Gina Rodriguez might be at the top ten, as well. She’s been everywhere since the laat year. And sometimes it takes a year or two for Emmy voters to catch up on something. Pff. Seeing demonhog’s list just took all my enthusiasm about this new Emmy season. Next thread!

Ghostbusters may help Melissa McCarthy return. At this moment in time I’m currently predicting:
Lena Dunham / Girls
Ellie Kemper / Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Julia Louis-Dreyfus / Veep
Martha Plimpton / The Real O’Neals
Lily Tomlin / Grace & Frankie6th Nominee:
Amy Schumer / Inside Amy Schumer (if Season 4 airs before May 31) – even though she’s everywhere she won’t get in for the 4 episodes aired in this cycle from Season 3
Melissa McCarthy / Mike & Molly (if Amy Schumer isn’t eligible for season 4)After that:
Tracee Ellis Ross / black-ish
Anna Faris / Mom
Jane Fonda / Grace & Frankie
Gillian Jacobs / LoveDeserving but not on the Emmy radar:

Rachel Bloom / Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
Wendi McLendon-Covey / The Goldbergs
Gina Rodriguez / Jane the VirginFebruary 20, 2016 at 8:39 pm #367748I feel like Gina Rodriguez has a legitimate shot this time around. Yes her show is on the CW, but Jane The Virgin season 2 continued its acclaim and praise for Rodriguez, plus she made it back in at the Globes + Critics Choice (not that these are an indication, but it only helps her case)
