Tatiana Maslany got a SAG nomination just before her Emmy nomination (because BBC America effectively campaigned SAG).  Maslany also had more critical support, having won Critics’ Choice twice and TCA once.  Gina Rodriguez has no SAG nomination or wins from Critics’ Choice or TCA.

I want Wu, Rodriguez, and Bloom to be nominated, but am predicting McCarthy, Dunham, and Fonda. So much depends on the quality of so many unseen shows, though.

I’m going with currently: Melissa McCarthy (who for the last season could pull off the win), Ellie Kemper (after the SAG nod as long as their isn’t a huge dip in quality for Season two) and either Constance Wu or Tracie Ellis Ross I keep changing my mind between those two. However until I see “Grace and Frankie” I’m not 100% sure Tomlin’s coming back.

Errm… No one in Holywood care about that stupid shows departure. She’s not gonna win anything. And hopefully she won’t even be nominated and no, her performance is no different than dozens of other sitcom actressess. Overacting with same mimics to paiunfully level. She has a charming screen presence, fine, but that doesn’t equal to an Emmy. Oh, wait, it already did. That’s MORE than enough recognition that show deserved. BYE.

And if you really watch the show, Idk how she could be the only standout in otherwise a horrible show to you. The actors that plays Molly’s mother, her husband, her husband’s cop friend(Especially him) They all try their best with the cheap material they’ve been given. The only reason why McCarthy has been singled out among this ensemble is because of Bridesmaids. But there are some shows that aren’t designed for award consideration, that put viewership numbers far beyond quality and don’t deserve to be called an Emmy nominee/winner(Highest honor a TV show could achieve) irregardless of the little okay parts in them and this is easily one of those shows. Just like how anything related to Jack and Jill or Fifty Shades of Grey don’t deserve to be mentioned in the same breath with Oscars.

I love Veep, but I would be ecstatic if Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt has a year similar to the one Veep had last year with a knockout season and multiple wins, particularly Kemper, Burgess, possibly Krakowski and writing.

I have a feeling UKS will break through big time this year, in addition to a 2nd Comedy Series nomination. Kemper will likely get nominated (especially with Falco out) + a Directing/Writing nomination with the category expansion.
