Yay, estrelas, Ozark!
I started watching this week. I’m already on season 3. Just watched the first two last night.
FYC Emmys: Helena Bonham Carter (Drama Supporting Actress), Olivia Colman (Drama Actress), Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh (Drama Actress), Fiona Shaw (Drama Supporting Actress), Zendaya (Drama Actress), Alexis Bledel (Drama Guest Actress)August 15, 2020 at 1:55 am #1203646585
S1 + S2 = painful, S3 is usable though.
I wouldn’t say painful. The first half, of season 1, is quite slow but starts to get things together by the second half. Season 2 was (actually) much better than I expected. Julia Garner absolutely deserved that Emmy. MVP of season 2.

Omg, how exciting!! Wait until you finish this season. You will love it!
I’m very excited for the rest of the season. This show surprised me a lot. I’m enjoying it very much 😁August 15, 2020 at 2:39 am #1203646616
Watched all seasons of True Blood (such a drag after season 4), and recently I started Fargo for the first time. Really good so far!August 15, 2020 at 3:26 am #1203646626
Hannibal season 1. Too distracted by Hugh Dancy at his peak-handsome! Lol but it was very entertaining. I can’t believe I’ve become so desensitized in seeing gruesome and traumatic imagery because of all of the nasty shows and movies I’ve seen in my life. I remember seeing Game of Thrones for the first time and I found it difficult to stomach all of the beheadings and seeing the insides of individuals etc but now it’s like “oh wow this guy’s throat has been cut in half and his tongue is dangling in such a fascinating way. So cool!”. It’s crazy.
But I really enjoyed the first season, and looking forward to the second. Great performances from Dancy (MVP), Mads Mikkelsen, Laurence Fishburne, Caroline Dhavernas and Gillian Anderson.August 15, 2020 at 7:33 am #1203646781
I started re-watching this show I saw when it originally aired around 8 or 10 years ago here in the UK. It’s a 90s set coming of age dramedy about a 16 year old girl in Lincolnshire (in the Midlands in England) who comes out of a mental hospital and tries to fit back into her own teenage life called My Mad Fat Diary. It may sound like a cheesy soppy teen programme but it actually is a haunting and hilariously horrific take on a coming of age story and the issue of mental health that is more in the vein of shows like Sex Education and Buffy rather than something like Riverdale. It is actually quite a successful show when it comes to awards as it’s both BAFTA and International Emmy nominated. I would highly recommend people on both sides of the pond to watch it. It may occasionally deal with some awkward teenage topics (although it’s not as much of a focus as something like Sex Education) that some of us may have put away quite a while ago but the show has some of the best music supervision I have ever seen, jumps cleverly between comedy and drama whilst being faithful to its dark themes of mental health, dysmorphia and suicide and features stellar standout performances from Sharon Rooney (who won a BAFTA for her performance), Claire Rushbrook (who was nominated for a BAFTA for her performance), Ian Hart (Professor Quirrell from Harry Potter) and umm…
…Jodie Comer (in one of her first key roles on British television)
The trailer is in the link below. For those of you Stateside I believe it’s on Hulu and those of you in Blighty it’s on All4/Channel 4 on demand.
If this doesn’t convince you to watch the show the episode I am currently re-watching (Season 1 Episode 4) is directed by Benjamin Caron (the Emmy nominated director this year for The Crown episode Aberfan)!
FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", GLENN CLOSE FOR "HILLBILLY ELEGY", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).August 15, 2020 at 10:20 am #1203647019
