I’m watching Veep for the first time and my God I can’t stop watching the episodes. I’m in season 2 and “D.C.” is my favorite episode so far. “Helsinki” was great and the scenes with the Prime Minister of Finland were hilarious, but at the same time this episode was very sad because of what happened to Selina.

Julia well is Julia. She’s amazing in EVERY scene and she’s royalty. I always laugh at Gary’s moments! Tony Hale is brilliant. Sufe Bradshaw always stands out in the scenes where she appears and I always want Sue to appear in more episodes. Every time Selina starts running through the halls, she makes my day happier. I don’t like Jonah and I love it when Selina throws him out of the room. I’m already loving this show and really looking forward to what’s going to happen in the coming seasons.

Emmy FYC: Basically no one because everyone who was my FYC was snubbed. Anyway, I May Destroy You for victory in each category.

Can you guys help me what should I watch next?

Dirty John (Amanda Peet’s season) , The Haunting of Bly Manor, Genius (Aretha’s Season), Your Honor, Lovecraft Country or The Wilds?

From these options, “Lovecraft Country.” But be warned: it’s weird and not for the faint of heart.

I’ve just started the last season of Sopranos and Members Only must be the best season premiere I’ve ever een.

And yes, I’m watching Sopranos, Buffy and Six Feet Under at the sa time. Will start Sex and the City as soon as I finish one of the three.

I just finished Made For Love, and between this, Pose and The Undoing, I’m definitely keeping an eye on Noma Dumezweni from now on. Such a brilliant performer.

We Are Lady Parts (on Peacock in the US, Channel 4 in the UK) is bold, outrageous, hilarious and important television. It’s always great to see racial and religious stereotypes thrown out the window but even moreso to see a show that is heartfelt that doesn’t lean into the dramatic too much even as it explores darker avenues of comedy:

Sharp Objects, finally.

I feel like the show begins really strong with all that terrific editing and Twin Peaks vibe, but I don’t like the murder aspect of it. I don’t like Eliza Scanlen’s acting unlike most, I feel like she’s trying too hard. Some characters felt really flat and unrealistic.

The writing also became too obvious after Episode 5, with all those conversations between Camille and her “friends” about motherhood, the play and also Camille’s conversation with Kirk in Episode 6. The first four episodes were really slow paced and I was really invested to know more about why Camille was considered dangerous, because the show kept telling us that and suddenly they drop the subject.

Mare of Easttown is so much better in literally everything.

Sharp Objects, finally.

I’ll say it again but she was robbed of those winter awards…

One of her career best performances.

Yeah, she was great.

I have to say that this performance not winning any awards + her snub for Arrival made me realize that she’s not an awards favorite actress and probably will never be, because there’s something about her acting that is the subtle work that she puts through it and maybe award bodies are too attached to showy and noisy and transformative stuff to realize that.

Honey this show is spectacular, between this and Girls5Eva, Peacock is really creating a name for themselves.

FYC Emmys: Get MJ Rodriguez that deserved WIN! And some votes for Elizabeth Olsen, Tobias Menzies and Matthew Rhys will be highly tasteful as well

Eliza Scanlen should be an Emmy winner for “Sharp Objects.”

I feel like her performances have a lot of nuance. She has this ability to internally transform into her characters. I don’t like every single performance in her catalogue but she truly elevates her work with this that it’s hard for me to be mad at her 7 Oscar nominations even if one of them is for a piece of trash like American Hustle (her performance was one of the only saving graces for me lol). She’s a very talented thespian.

I’m fine with Michelle Williams’ Emmy win because I LOVED that performance and it’s one of my favourite wins in that category but damn I wish Ms Adams got more awards love for Sharp Objects. Her performance deserves to be shown in drama schools.

Just finished Made in America, I’m so happy that I finally watched ”The Sopranos”.

It’s a pivotal tv series for television, but it’s also a GREAT tv series for television.

Wow, just wow!

In light of those depressingly thin ballots, I need some people to tell me what I should be watching. Normally finish 50 shows a year and am not even close right now.

I have finished:
It’s a Sin
I May Destroy You
Mare of Easttown
The Crown
Industry
Ted Lasso
The Flight Attendant
The Politician
The Salisbury Poisonings
I Hate Suzie
The Queen’s Gambit
Mom
Bridgerton
Line of Duty
The Good Lord Bird
Girls5Eva
The Undoing
The Duchess
Love Victor

I need to finish:
Hacks
The Haunting of Bly Manor
Lovecraft Country
Motherland
Pose
Shameless
The Underground Railroad

I have seen but won’t finish (so don’t bother suggesting):
Away
Ratched
Roadkill
The Sister

I have noted to watch:
Call the Midwife
The Handmaid’s Tale
Halston
The Mandalorian
Small Axe
Wandavision

Is there anything else out there or is this year really just a non-starter?
