Well Cody Fern can be chalked up to being a complete unknown in a cast of big names. Connie Britton is chalked up to her barely being in it and having nothing of substance to work with.
I’d rather if Cody Fern had gotten in instead of Ricky Martin, who I thought ultimately had such little to do the whole season. Connie Britton, imo, gave a fun take on Faye Resnick, especially in episode 1.4 and made a meal of whatever little that was required of her.
FYC: "The Crown", "Ted Lasso", "Pen15" & "Pose" in all categories.
Emma Corrin ("The Crown"), Maya Erskine ("Pen15"), John Early ("Search Party"), America Ferrera ("Superstore"), Justin Hartley ("This Is Us"), Ben Platt ("The Politician"), Jennifer C. Holmes ("This Is Us") & Billie Piper ("I Hate Suzie").November 29, 2020 at 12:36 pm #1203882587
binge watched queens gambit and wow, lived up to hype and then someDecember 1, 2020 at 6:57 am #1203886703
Saved By the Bell reboot. The first episodes are not great because they reference the old show (which I never watched), but by episode 5 the show gets pretty good.
The adult cast is predictably awful, but Josie Totah is a highlight. Her character has big Jenna Maroney vibes and I enjoy that. She would be a deserving Comedy Supporting Actress nom.December 1, 2020 at 10:21 am #1203887282
when you watch TV shows, Movies or anything for a long time non-stop. This can be a sign of depression so If you have a family member or friend who binge watches, why don’t you ask them to do an activity with you. Something that might lift their mood. Binge-Watching is probably always caused by boredom. In some situations, it could be because you want to fit in. I also like watching this series of movies, but because they are long and the characters are repetitive, sometimes they are disgusting.December 8, 2020 at 10:45 am #1203903519
“First Ladies” (CNN): Fascinating docuseries of six highly influential American first ladies and how they used their tenures to redefine what the role meant for future generations. The six women featured were Michelle Obama, Jackie Kennedy, Nancy Reagan, Eleanor Roosevelt, Lady Bird Johnson, and Hillary Clinton. All were insightful in their own ways, but most of them were too short for an ad-supported hour runtime. (The Michelle Obama one was the season premiere and ran longer.) There was no way to cover all of these women’s lives in one hour, and in some cases, entire documentaries have been made of these women either as full birth-to-death narratives or only during the White House years. Robin Wright narrated these episodes beautifully. Hopefully she will be a frontrunner for the Narrator Emmy next year.
I’ve taped the Showtime docuseries “The Reagans,” so I might delve into that next.December 24, 2020 at 2:15 pm #1203943977
Has anyone seen Roadkill? The main draw for me was Hugh Laurie, but the series is terrible. Not sure what it’s trying to do. Episodes lead nowhere, involving silly political drama and desperate family storylines.
Still, Laurie makes it more bearable to go through the four episodes.December 24, 2020 at 2:36 pm #1203943990

I watched it. It was boring. I finished Bc of cast but felt like a half asses idea that needed more developmentDecember 25, 2020 at 4:06 pm #1203945199
I’ve been watching Deadwood and so far I’m liking it a lot. The writing is on point and the acting is superb(especially Ian McShane). Seven episodes into the first season and Al Swearengen is already one of my favourite tv characters of all time.January 2, 2021 at 7:04 pm #1203958603
I bought the dvd series of GRIMM. I loved it when it was on NBC. I’m in the middle of season three and continue to love it. The acting/writing/directing is superb. The make-up artists did a phenomenal job.January 3, 2021 at 4:52 pm #1203960427

Watched the Mandalorian S1. Wasn’t that enthused for first 5 episodes, but the final three were all really thrilling. Definitely not my favorite show, but still effective at what it does for sure. Interested to see the second season, but going to hold off for a bit and catch up on films first.January 4, 2021 at 12:50 am #1203960934
I’ve finished The Great and loved it. It is so hilarious and at the same time clever. I’m currently binging Ted Lasso which is better than I expected.January 4, 2021 at 8:55 am #1203961489
Recently watched The Night Manager, loved it. Hiddleston and Laurie were great. Colman was magnificent.
Currently binging Downton Abbey, just finished season 1. Really good writing, and the whole cast is great so far. The scenes between Smith and Wilton are hilarious. Also great seeing random british actors pop up that I’ve seen in other things.
After Downton i’m going to watch American Horror Story, Call the Midwife (from the start as i’ve mixed in and out the last few seasons), and Broadchurch
