I like the fact that more than 5 get in, at least in drama, there are so many shows out there, and even with 8 (!), strong shows were left out this year, like Pose, Big Little Lies, Mr Robot and so on.

Comedy had 8 and Ramy and The great were also snubbed, damn this hit hard.

This new rule of submissions is the best scenario for me.

But I will say this on drama this year (the rest is too much for my old head to remember)

I think Killing Eve would be shut out, alongside Handmaid’s Tale and Stranger Things, leaving the field with

Succession, Better Call Saul, Ozark, The Mandalorian and The Crown

Oh I think Better Call Saul would have easily missed Series this year with 5 nominees and same with The Handmaid’s Tale. I’d say Killing Eve was simply ahead of both due to the fact it managed to get its two Leads in whilst Better Call Saul couldn’t get its Lead and its principal female actor in and The Handmaid’s Tale missed for its Emmy winning and three time SAG nominated lead and its two principal supporting ladies.

FYC OSCARS : VANESSA KIRBY FOR "PIECES OF A WOMAN", AMANDA SEYFRIED FOR "MANK", ANTHONY HOPKINS FOR "THE FATHER", CHADWICK BOSEMAN FOR "MA RAINEY'S BLACK BOTTOM", PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN (BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY).

Killing Eve was obviously ahead of BCS, it was a total non factor this year.
