without the scandal? Do you think she’d have been nominated had she been submitted even with the scandal?

Yes she would have been nominated and the frontrunner to win among WTSU actresses.

She would definitely have been nominated but it depends who she replaced. If she replaced Blake then her and Farmiga would surely be a classic vote split situation. If she replaced Qualley then there would be three of them nominated.

It’s difficult to tell though because the scandal stopped her gaining any passionate support for the role. For all we know she could have been the frontrunner without it.

If Michael K. Williams overcomes the 3-way vote split to win in supporting actor (as many are predicting), it’s reasonable to assume Huffman would’ve done the same. Clarkson obviously has a lot of goodwill though so it would’ve been close no matter what the dynamics of the category were.

    For Your Consideration:

Best International Feature: Instinct (The Netherlands)
Best Actress: Carice van Houten (Instinct)

Darling, Clarkson would still win. Huffman belongs to jail.

If Michelle Williams wins over in lead actress for Fosse/Verdon, I could see them making it up to Patricia Arquette by giving her a supporting actress win for The Act. Patricia Clarkson could win for Sharp Objects still, but it premiered over a year ago, and The Act only premiered back in the spring.

Darling, Fatty Arquette is winning Lead and Classy Clarkson is winning Supporting. Williams will go empty handed, as she deserves.

Is there a reason you give every performer a silly nickname?

SHE’S WINNING!!! And you haven’t even watched Fosse/Verdon. So before you make a full of yourself watch the show. She just won TCA over Arquette and Adams. And before you say TCA doesn’t matter i would like to inform you that the only two actors who won it for Individual Achievement in Drama (with a performance in a Limited series) have won the Emmy. Paul Giamatti and Sarah Paulson. She’s winning!!! GET OVER IT!!!

FYC Emmys: Helena Bonham Carter (Drama Supporting Actress), Olivia Colman (Drama Actress), Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh (Drama Actress), Fiona Shaw (Drama Supporting Actress), Zendaya (Drama Actress), Alexis Bledel (Drama Guest Actress)

Darling, yes. I’ve watched it. She’s very fine in it but, in my opinion, Sharpy Adams outacted. Both are losing to Fatty Arquette, though. Carrie Coon also won and she was snubbed lmao.

Amy was good but there’s no way she outacted Williams. What Michelle did was absolutely OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!. Just her performance in ‘Nowadays’ (episode 7) is better than Amy’s entire performance in Sharp Objects. And i LOVED Amy.

About Carrie Coon her win was basically for The Leftovers. Her performance in the last season of TL was one of the most raved  dramatic performances of the year. She won because she was competing with two performances. But if she had been nominated only for Fargo, either Nicole Kidman, Elizabeth Moss or Claire Foy would have won. Coon was NEVER winning in Limited Series Actress over Nicole.

Practically anyone could have replaced Qualley, so who knows? We’ll never.

In this lineup, I don’t know if she would’ve won, but I think she would’ve ranked first among her co-stars.
