I have excluded The CrownThe Handmaid’s Tale and The Mandalorian from this list as they each have never missed drama series so obviously they didn’t get in solely on the basis that the field was weak and Lovecraft and Pose for obvious reasons.

Feel free to post your thoughts 🙂

I think if The Boys has a ton of buzz for s3 which I’m assuming it will it can likely only grow in nominations.

I think Bridgerton. Academy Members (both film and TV) eat this up with a spoon.
British period piece with a large ensemble and lavish production values with the support of Netflix–top hard for the TV Academy to pass.

I voted for “The Boys” because it’s a show that has growing support which is something that year after year we learn we just can’t ignore.

It's about the chaotic editing in Moulin Rouge!

It was actually a pun for that same reason.

I think This is Us is getting back because of the last season narrative. The fact that the entire season will be airing entirely from January to May will only increase its odds, especially if the series finale receives universal acclaim.

Yeah, I’m going to agree with this. If they have a good season, I think they’re in a strong position.

Bridgerton is out out, we all thought this show would be our 3rd and it underperform, with Pose, THT and even Lovecraft being more loved across the board.

If it gets another weak year than I could see getting in into 7th-8th place, but I’m not betting on it

This is Us is a weird case indeed, i can see it getting multiple noms ATL because of narrative, but I can see it defaulting to only Sterling again.

The Boys is the obvious pick here, it’s airing closer to the deadline and has growing support. Also, the fact that The Mandalorian is skipping next year will for sure help.

    FYC:

All things Succession, Severance, Ted Lasso, The Great and The White Lotus! Also, Colin Firth and Janelle James while you're at it.

Voted for Bridgerton by accident but I think This is Us is actually most likely to return due to its final season narrative in an increasingly weakening drama field. The Boys might not be eligible next year but I think it probably returns if it is.

This Is Us. I love The Boys, but that was a surprise to see in the first place and thus I will be the least shocked to see it be snubbed.

Despite its many haters, This Is Us is actually very good a lot of the time. The sorts of things it’s done are really awesome for a network TV show especially, and Mandy Moore has genuinely been overlooked and underrated throughout its run despite being the lynchpin for the show’s family. We can count on the last season being really emotional obviously, and it’s still popular enough to get its ratings back up for its final season and be zeitgeisty again. People are pretty attached to the show. Plus the Emmys have only snubbed in Best Drama Series for one out of five seasons.

Hafta say—Sterling K Brown has become a really annoying name-check, even for seasons where his arc is the weakest and his character insufferable. I’d much rather see Moore, Susan Kelechi Watson, or the absolutely incredible Lyric Ross be nominated or win. Justin Hartley’s also done enough great work in the series to get a nod, I do feel bad for the guy for being the only one of the main 5 family members to never be nominated.

Justice for Passing, Tessa Thompson & Ruth Negga.

The Power of the Dog / Jane Campion / Benedict Cumberbatch / Kristen Stewart / Kirsten Dunst / Troy Kotsur

The Boys, I don’t think it peaked yet. This Is Us could have a strong final season too. I can see NBC spamming it in a way that everyone, even those who stopped watching, knows it’s ending.
