The newest batch of reality competition TV shows is about to start up. Which ones would you like to predict here at GD?

And pls suggest WHAT we have you predict week to week as episodes air. Like —- Who’ll get voted out? — etc. Those kinds of questions. We had 3 for our Survivor predix area when we ran our test in December. It went very well. I’d like equivalent things for the other TV shows too, so we can start to build them in our predictions center for you to play with. GIVE ME YOUR BEST IDEAS! Let’s giddyup, Derbyites!

    The Amazing Race.

Sure, it’s taped, but it would still work easily. Three questions:

    1. Who will finish first in this leg of the race? Alternatively: Who will win this leg of the race?
    2. Who will finish last in this leg of the race? (some legs are non-elimination)

And you could go the Survivor route (accumulating points) with:
    3. Who will win The Amazing Race?

Possibly American Idol when it gets closer to the Hollywood rounds.

FYC: Ready Player One. Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Visual Effects, Original Score, Production Design, Director and BEST PICTURE (make it happen Oscars!!)

I agree with the American Idol mention. That will be a good thing to start when we get to the live shows. For example, the rounds before the Top 12, we can predict who will make it through to the next round. After that, we predict who will be eliminated.

And Dancing with the Stars when it starts up again, predict who will be eliminated each week, and maybe predict who will get the highest judges scores.

The Voice can also be done starting from the live shows which is Top 16. Although for the Top 16, you need to choose one artiste eliminated from each team. And Top 12 onwards, it’s 2 eliminations except for Top 6, with only 1 elimination.

I agree with the Idol and DWTS suggestions. I would also add The Voice but the same way it was suggested for AI.

I don’t like “The Voice,” but we would be crazy not to predict that considering it’s the reigining Best Reality Competition champion.

Also would love to predict “American Idol” (staring with the Top 12) and “The Amazing Race.”

Then there’s of course “Survivor: Brawn vs. Brain vs. Beauty” starting in several weeks.

RuPaul’s Drag Race should be an option
