Soon they’ll be baaaaaaaaack. You know that there are inevitable nominees that will appear on the Emmy list next month. Which ones do you dread most to see?

No more Don Cheadle or Matt Leblanc. Not a reflection on them, but it’s almost painful to see them lose every year.

Robin Wright in House of Cards. A boring one dimensional performance.

Since Don Cheadle has already been mentioned, I’ll go off the board here and say Peter Dinklage. He’s done nothing on Thrones the last two years yet he WON last year and will probably WIN AGAIN this year. Drives me nuts.

House of Cards and Homeland in Drama Series, neither deserve to be anywhere close to a nomination.

FYC: Drama Series: Game of Thrones, Comedy Series: Barry, Limited Series: Chernobyl, Drama Lead Actor: Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Drama Lead Actress: Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), Drama Directing: Miguel Sapochnik for The Long Night (Game of Thrones), Drama Writing: Jed Mercurio for Episode 1 (Bodyguard)

That would be Spacey’s, not Wright’s.

I’m going to say Jim Parsons. Although he is very funny, I feel like he is also very one-note and has been rewarded far more than he needs to be.

I will also second the mention of Peter Dinklage.

    1. Don Cheadle- I’d give my life that most of the voters checking his name off have never seen House of Lies. When I watch the episodes every year, his are insufferable to sit through. It’s a BAD show. And he’s getting in off his name.

    2. Peter Dinklage- I feel there have been so many other actors from that show that are just as worthy as him yet he’s the only they nominate. Is it simply his acting or his unique…ummm…stature?

    3. Joanne Froggatt- I’ve supported her Globe win but she’s just not that great the last couple seasons to warrant a nomination.

    4. Lily Tomlin- Better options, name check.

House of Cards and Homeland in Drama Series, neither deserve to be anywhere close to a nomination.

Homeland has never been nominated for series when it “wasn’t close to deserving” it. This would be the first year.

I no longer care about the comedy categories. I’ll go with almost all the nods House of Card and ‘Downton’ have picked up as well as Dinklage.

Any non Robin Wright House of Cards noms, even though she doesn’t really deserve a nom this year.

    Modern Family

    Downton Abbey

    American Horror Story

Give Paul Thomas Anderson an Oscar.

The men of Showtime in Best Actor Comedy: Don Cheadle and even though he’s only been in the category twice Wiliam H. Macy. Neither are funny! Their just taking up space. While I respect Jim Carter and Alan Cumming on their respective shows neither are going to win. But at least their shows have ended.
