I think it’s worth noting how similar situations Westworld and The Handmaid’s Tale are in. I think it’s plausible that had we had a few votes gone the other way Westworld would get into Drama series and Handmaid’s would get snubbed and I wouldn’t be surprised if one year (unless Westworld goes beyond worse than GoT levels) Westworld knocked Handmaid’s out of Series due to how they’re both as weak as each other.

That being said I think unless they do well in their next seasons both are out.

FYC Emmys : THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, SUCCESSION AND THE CROWN IN ALL CATEGORIES. Tony Shalhoub ("Maisel"), Cate Blanchett ("Mrs. America"), Matthew Macfadyen, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook ("Succession"), Tracey Ullman ("Mrs. America") and Louis Gossett Jr. ("Watchmen")

It’s not about these shows but Saturday Night Live will continue to occupy at least half of the guest acting slots and Kate McKinnon will never be dropped unless she exists the show. The extended supporting slots will work in benefit for this show.

“This Is Us” can still maintain its standing in the acting branch with continued nominees there. I think it can rally back in Drama Series too. Other series have done that recently. Only two seasons left, and I see NBC doing a major push in its final season.

This is Us is on the same trajectory as The Good Wife except it’s probably unlikely to win anything outside of a possible Brown farewell.

I feel like everything is on the same trajectory as The Good Wife according to you.
