So, which shows will go hard or go home by prior to voting, sending voter’s DVD’S, that include several episodes to sample? Or, making them available online for them to view? What shows will go that extra campaign mile?April 17, 2015 at 10:38 am #346630
Well, Manahattan, I know already has.Others, i’d imagine will would be:
House of Cards
Orange Is The New Black
Better Caul Saul
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
To name a few off the top of my head.April 17, 2015 at 10:52 am #346631
Masters of Sex has some really strong episodes, and would be wise to send voters episodes such as The Fight to remind them of the actors, particuarly Sheen who could creep into Actor, and Caplan who was nominated last year, so is liked by voters.
Homeland also needs a refresher to voters possibly, as other shows have aired since this, in order to remind voters just how strong the season was. If they manage to successfully do this, then it may be a suprise Series nominee.April 17, 2015 at 11:31 am #346632

If Showtime sent “Fight” (Masters of Sex) to all Emmy voters, Caplan and Sheen would stand a good shot at being nominated. Hell, the show might even sneak in.
It is just about the perfect standalone episode to watch. Any Showtime execs reading this?Marcus Snowden (The Artist Formerly Known as msnowden1)ParticipantApril 17, 2015 at 8:20 pm #346635

Masters could overcome the perception of it being uneven this past season with some exceptional individual entries. The back-half of Bloodline (which I presume Netflix will push) is very strong and memorable (esp. for Chandler/Mendelsohn).
Of shows looking to get back in, I think it also really helps Homeland and Good Wife since they both have several strong individual entries. Conversely, I also wonder if shows might stand out over programs like Empire which don’t stand out much through tapes.April 17, 2015 at 9:24 pm #346637
Showtime usually does well by sending episodes of their shows. Dexter and Nurse Jackie have done well in nominations in the past by sending episodes to voters.Riley (the normal one, not the one who won the predictions contest)ParticipantMay 6, 2015 at 12:08 pm #346638
I will continue to post what episodes shows are sending out in their individual threads, but I just wanted to say that the Fox (the studio, so that includes Modern Family, The Americans and Homeland) set is way nicer than any of the other ones. It is full of vibrant pictures and has quotes galore.

It is getting so late that I figured that Netflix had decided to forego
screener DVDs completely this year in favour of online access codes to a special
screening website, but voters just received the complete season of Orange is the New Black on DVD. So what is the deal here? Are voters going to get their Netflix DVDs over the next two weeks before voting? Why is Netflix not sending them all at once? Bloodline, Grace and Frankie and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt could badly use some exposure right now and even Derek could use a boost. I wonder also if the demographic that Grace and Frankie is appealing to would much prefer DVDs to website codes.
