We are going to interview Christopher Lloyd, co-creator of “Modern Family” this Friday. This chat is a real testament to the admiration of Gold Derby since Lloyd doesn’t even attend the Emmys (he asks Steven Levitan to accept each year for them both).

Fox and ABC would like to confirm a fact, and who better to ask than the great members here…

Is Lloyd the all-time leader in Emmy victories for producing comedy and/or drama series? He has 9 wins for “Frasier” (94/95/96/97/98) and “Modern Family” (10/11/12/13). Another this year would bring his total to 10 overall.

Here is the list I have put together of people with six or more (again, just for comedies and dramas; not reality, animation, variety, documentaries, etc.).

    DAVID E. KELLY (8)
    L.A. Law – 89/90/91
    Picket Fences – 93/94
    The Practice – 98/99
    Ally McBeal – 99

    STEVEN BOCHCO ((7)
    Hill Street Blues – 81/82/83/84
    L.A. Law – 87/89
    NYPD Blue – 95

    GLEN CHARLES/LES CHARLES (7)
    Taxi – 79/80/81
    Cheers – 83/84/89/91

    JAMES L. BROOKS (6)
Mary Tyler Moore Show – 75/76/77
    Taxi – 79/80/81

    PETER CASEY/DAVID ANGELL/DAVID LEE (6)
    Cheers – 89
    Frasier – 94/95/96/97/98

    SHELDON LEONARD (6)
Make Room For Daddy – 55
Dick Van Dyke Show – 63/64/65/66
My World & Welcome To It – 70

    MATTHEW WEINER (6)
