When I do a webcam chat with Jason Sudeikis on Jan. 4, he wants me to include a few of you regular Derbyites piping in with questions/comments, too. He loves Gold Derby and would love for some of you to be part of our chat. If so, tell me a few things about yourself (serial killers need not apply) and what you think of the show. Or even some fun quesions you might like to ask him.

The iconic and legendary Jose Mourinho appeared in promo ad for S1. As an American did he know who the hell he is was beforehand? (Bill Belichick is a virtual unknown stranger here in the UK for example)

Can we expect a cameo from him in upcoming seasons?

I would want to know whether he reads the forums, particularly television?

I’d like to know how the change in Ted’s personality between his original commercial appearance years ago and his appearance on the show came to be. In the former, he’s much more of a stereotypically obnoxious American, while the latter has him as an extremely kind hearted individual. It would be interesting to know how that change was planned, and at what point in the show’s creation did they realize it would be best if Ted was such a nice guy.

As an avid SNL fan, I gotta ask: what’s his fav skit he has been in?

As a Brit who loves football, this show was perfect for me and I absolutely loved it. I even forgave the show suggesting Crystal Palace could win a game 6-0 (Although the conclusion more than made up for it).

I have to ask, since the show is presumably set in the 2019-20 Premier League season, and of course there are 20 teams in a the league, which real-life premier league team did AFC Richmond replace?

Also has there been any consideration in producing an AFC Richmond kit? I would absolutely love to get one.

And finally, which current premier league managers would Ted Lasso get along with/form a rivalry with? I imagine him and Jurgen Klopp would click instantly and become good friends whereas Jose Mourinho would initially hate Ted and would have to grow to respect him.

Since Roy Keane was clearly a real inspiration for Roy Kent. Where there any historical figures who served as inspiration for other characters on the show?

For example, is Richard Beard a stand-in for Peter Taylor? Brian Clugh;s loyal right-hand man and assistant coach, or is there a current/former footballer who was a specific inspiration for Jamie Kent.

Would be great to see if there are real life inspirations for characters like Higgins and Nathan.

Also, we got to see the chant for Roy Kent in the season finale, next season, will we get to see chants for more AFC Richmond players?

and finally, if Rebecca Welton were given the opportunity to accept a billion pound financial takeover, like Newcastle United. Would she accept it, or would she now be loyal to the club?
