By this I mean an actor who was maybe expected to get one nomination and then way over preformed.

    oooh… good question.

Hopefully, Aisha Hinds can pull this off for her amazing performance in both Underground ( Supporting actress in a drama series) and Shots Fired (Supporting actor in a limited series).

Beau Bridges could easily pull this off as he is a possibility for Bloodline (Guest actor in a drama series), Black-ish (Guest actor in a Comedy series), and Masters of Sex (Guest actor in a drama series).

Alexis Bledel has both The Handmaid’s Tale (Guest Actress in a drama series) and Gilmore Girls (Supporting actress in a limted series) , even though she likely has no shot at GG: AYITL.

Matthew Rhys has The Americans (Lead actor in a drama series) and Girls (Guest Actor in a comedy series).

Laura Dern has Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Guest Actress in a comedy series) and Big Little Lies (Supporting actor in a limited series),

Constance Zimmer has UnReal (Supporting actress in a drama series) and Angie Tribeca (Guest actress in a comedy series).

Allison Wright has Feud (Supporting actress in a limited series) and The Americans (Guest Actress in a Drama Series).

Hank Azaria has Brockmire (Lead actor in a comedy Series) and Ray Donovan (Guest Actor in a drama series).

Adam Scott has The Good Place (Guest Actor in a comedy series) and Big Little Lies (Limited Actor in a limited series).

TJ Miller has Crashing (Guest actor in a comedy series) and Silicon Valley (Supporting Actor in a comedy series).

Aziz Ansari has Master of None (Lead actor in a comedy series) and SNL (Guest Actor in a comedy series)

Angela Basset has AHS: Roanoke (Supporting Actress in a limited series) and Master of None (Guest Actress in a limited series).

Alfre Woodard has A series of unfortunate events (Guest actress in a comedy series) and Luke Cage (Supporting actress in a drama series).

Thats all I can think of for now.

No one comes to mind. Maybe Regina King can get a surprise guest nomination in addition to supporting actress but that’s not way over performing

Hopefully Kathryn Hahn. Lead actress for I Love Dick and supporting for Transparent. Both noms would be deserving.

Do we know if Ann Dowd is submitted? Also, I know that according to the HBO submission page they published here a while back that Liv Tyler was listed in supporting, is that 100%? She wasn’t submitted in guest last year (as far as I know) so I guess they didn’t again for some stupid reason.

I have a feeling they were fucking with us a bit to prevent spoilers. Hopefully She was submitted. Also, the list says Duncan was submitted supporting but she is guest eligible so I hope its wrong.

Lindsay Duncan won’t be eligible in guest. She’s been in 5 episodes so far.

I was going off of what Riley said. I assumed he was right because he usually is.

Never mind. I can’t read lol. I went back and found his post and this is what he said:

Lindsay Duncan is ineligible for guest, regarless of the finale.

I thought he said eligible lol

The guest rules piss me off so much in cases like Duncan. She’s not in the main credits, most of the episodes she’s just had a line or two, she should definitely be allowed in guest. Can’t shows appeal situations like that?
