The trailer for the final season dropped today.

Season premiere was slated for midseason, but is now bumped up to Thursday, October 24th on NBC due to the flopping of “Sunnyside.”

I watched the first episode of that and gave up ten minutes in. Awful but Joel Kim Booster is a future star. Someone needs to get him a show or standup special ASAP

Episode Title: “Eat, Pray, Love, Phone, Sex”

Synopsis: Grace returns from her European travels a new woman, but her elation is short-lived when she receives life-changing news. Karen teaches Will how to be better at phone sex, and inadvertently helps him admit he wants a family with McCoy. Jack has a yard sale to discreetly get rid of Estefan’s annoying cuckoo clock.

Funny. Note Karen and Grace had nothing to do with each other.

It was such a disappointing episode. It felt rushed and random.

I hate ‘feuds’ amongst actors. Especially when they’ve worked with each other for such a long time. Average epi.

Ho-hum episode. Didn’t like how they rolled out Grace’s pregnancy. I thought that Noah being the father would make the most sense, but since she actually went on that silly European trip with Reid Scott’s character from last season and also had one-night-stands, it looks like the father’s identity won’t be a passing thought. Sad. Will and McCoy’s FaceTime scene should have been better. I guess the highlights here were Will and Karen’s “phone sex” scene and Grace with the lady on the subway lol. The less said about Jack and Esteban’s scenes, the better. That wasn’t even a C-plot, but a D-plot. The actor playing Esteban is also positively awful, so that never helps. All this “feuding” talk is hard to believe, so I’ll place that in the side view for now. Tighter episode next week, plz!

The Will/Karen phone sex scene was the best part of the episode. The rest of it just kind of fell flat.

I thought this episode was great. Mullally was an absolute riot and the best she’s been in ages. McCormack also stood out. Like others, I was less keen on the other stories but they were still entertaining and made me chuckle so it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the episode at all.

Also, people are reading into the Messing/Mullally separation in this episode way too much. As we all know, it’s very common for the cast to be distributed in different combos and this week everyone basically filmed their scenes separately. Next week, Grace and Karen share the A-Plot it seems so they quite clearly are working together this season (something that was also shown by the trailer).

As for the “feud” in general, it’s interesting that Mullally is supposedly missing two episodes this season (and a real shame even though I think the show won’t suffer too much given that the writers have struggled with Karen the most in the revival) but what’s really pissing me off is how the press and people on Twitter have made this a Messing-Mullally catfight basically because they’re the two women and they unfollowed each other. Nobody is talking about how Mullally also stopped following Sean Hayes and hasn’t posted a picture with any of the cast tagged in months. Quite clearly the issues are not exclusive to Messing yet everyone wants to turn it into another women vs woman thing. Sick of it.

Wait WHAT. That is upsetting. What on earth happened?

But yeah I think Messing is the highest profile on social media and bears the brunt of this.

No one knows what happened but yeah Mullally doesn’t follow either Messing or Hayes any more.
