It seems most of Mullally’s scenes are with guest performers and not the main cast lately… Wonder if that’s left over from the Spat That Shall Not Be Acknowledged or just a coincidence.

I feel like such an outlier, but what show is everyone watching? To me, the laugh track is intrusive, the timing and organic comedy feels “off,” you can ascertain the issues between Megan Mullaly and the rest of the cast in the way “Karen stories” are conspicuously absent or minimized of other regular cast members, and ending the show with Will and Grace becoming parents is patently foolish when the first episode of the reboot “erased that ending” from the series’ original run.

I thought I was alone until I saw this article in the Boston Globe (https://www.bostonglobe.com/2020/01/28/arts/will-grace-long-slow-slide-into-irrelevance/) which confirms everything I have been feeling about this last season. Phrases like “slow slide into irrelevance” and “shadow of a shadow of what it once was” and “the crackle is gone and the chemistry feels labored” stood out to me.

Does anyone else feel the same out there–besides me and the Boston Globe? 🙂

The show literally starts every time with a reminder that it is shot in front of a live studio audience. Let’s not reduce it to the laugh track smear please.

I like the ending because it tackles what the original ending got wrong which was trying to fit all of them becoming parents into one finale. Instead it is a whole season arc that is being given the attention it deserves to flourish. Each to their own though and I can understand why someone might want a different story.

I agree it is shot before a live studio audience. Whether the laughs are not from a laugh track…is another matter…sounds pretty canned to me.

Anyone who has been to one of the tapings can tell you the laughs are real and if anything they have to tone them down

It wasn’t my favorite episode, but hopefully the continuation next week will be.

Does anyone know how many episodes there’s going to be and when series finale is?

Hopefully we’ll get to see Leslie Jordan and Molly Shannon this season.

Shannon is guest-starring in two weeks. 18 episodes this season.

Last night’s eppy wasn’t my favorite, but it still produced some laughs. The best part was when Jack named his bar Queers: Where everyone knows your gay.
