With Veep definitely not airing in this year’s eligibility period, who is going to win Best Comedy Actress?
Tracee Ellis Ross?
Fonda or Tomlin?
Is Rachel Borsnahan that much of a force to win at the Emmys too?I feel like they will give it to someone who has been an also-ran to Julia for the last few years.

I personally hope Tracee Eliss Ross or Alison Brie wins.

I think with every creative high The Good Place hits with each passing episode as it thunders home (the finale is Thursday), and its great showing in Metacritic’s top 10 TV shows of 2017 (5th) vs. Maisel’s 22nd will at least shame the Emmys into nominating Bell, finally.
She has paid her dues far more than Brosnahan has, and is the co-star on network television’s best show in the eyes of the entertainment media. Another TV Critics Association nomination right before the Emmy noms won’t hurt her chances. Hopefully (but who am I kidding?) the Brosnahan bubble will burst like the dot com bust in the 90’s and Maisel is exposed for the light fluff that it clearly is upon further close examination, with an unknown number of people watching it online.

Do we know if Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt will be back in time?

If you go back to its inception, season 1 debuted in March 2015, 2 in April 2016 and 3 last May, a 4th season seems unlikely to make the 2018 Emmy cutoff date.

It’s unlikely for her to be snubbed after her (possible) Oscar win.
